This historic moment happened merely meters away from where Married at First Sight was filming in Sydney last October. The producers have taken this extraordinary step to ensure that the royal visit takes center stage and doesn’t overshadow the drama we all love!
Experts claim the late change was due to a shift in creative strategy, aiming to maintain the series’ emphasis on the conflicts among the couples rather than the royals.
On Wednesday, a trusted production source shared with Daily Mail Australia that it was an extraordinary instance as the entire cast rushed to their balconies, eager to see Queen Camilla. However, despite this exciting spectacle, the producers believed it wasn’t crucial for the narrative’s progression.
After discussing with superiors at Nine, we decided that including it could divert attention from the main theme of the program. Therefore, we chose to omit it.
In that moment, the 77-year-old royal grabbed attention as she was seen giving a friendly wave to the crowd, right outside One Global Resorts – the luxurious hotel where the actors were lodged while shooting the movie.
The actors were taken aback when Camilla, adorned in a majestic blue midi gown, appeared at Green Square, which was only a short distance away from the filming location.
As I looked out from my vantage point, I noticed some well-loved figures, Jamie Marinos and Dave Hand, joining me in observing the scene from their own balconies.
28-year-old Jamie couldn’t contain her exhilaration as she gestured toward the majestic royal procession, my golden tresses securely fastened beneath a stylish cream headpiece.
Simultaneously, fully-tattooed Dave captured the extraordinary scene on his mobile device, sporting only a tank top and shorts with his hat turned backward.

She reminisced that it was quite extraordinary, as it happened to be the day of a dinner party. Dave was preparing to take a shower, and she exclaimed, “But the Queen is arriving! I mean, how likely is that?
We discovered she was arriving since there were police and barricades on the street, causing quite a commotion. ‘They weren’t able to continue, as Ryan was about to snap the ideal selfie when the producers interrupted with a call for wrapping up. A team member chuckled and said, “Back to business!”‘
Although cameras were constantly recording during the entire event, unfortunately, none of the footage captured by various actors while reacting to the Queen’s arrival will ever be publicly shown.
According to another source, it was determined that the royal character’s presence didn’t align with the mood or plot progression of the show.
