New “unexpected” Harlan Coben series that’s “edge-of-the-seat” thriller just dropped on Netflix
Today’s a thrilling day for Harlan Coben enthusiasts as another television series based on his work is now available worldwide on Netflix!
After “Missing You”, which premiered in January, and most recently the subtle introduction of “Just One Look”, Dan Coben’s latest offering, the Argentinian limited series titled “Caught” (or “Atrapados”), is now available for streaming.
In the vibrant city of Bariloche, nestled within Argentine Patagonia, a journalist named Ema Garay gains recognition for her work in digital media by unmasking elusive wrongdoers who have managed to skirt the law. This is the gist of the show’s official synopsis, derived from one of his acclaimed novels.
What to Read Next
Ema’s life experiences an unforeseen shift when she crosses paths with Leo Mercer, a well-regarded community member who is the main suspect in her probe regarding a missing 16-year-old girl. As she delves deeper into the truth, Ema finds herself compelled to confront her hidden struggles.
The book was published in 2011, and the story has mostly rave reviews from readers.
One called it “yet another heart-pounding, suspenseful novel by HC,” while another stated: “Coben never fails to deliver edge-of-your-seat thrills, and this book is no exception.
The reader commented, “This narrative was skillfully crafted; it constantly shifted direction, leaving me questioning whether our main character was innocent or guilty. It’s quite impressive how you managed to make me change my opinion of him multiple times.
For the very first time, Harlan Coben is involved in a TV production in Argentina with the series. Soledad Villamil, renowned for her role in “The Secret in Their Eyes,” takes on the lead character of Ema Garay. Matías Recalt, known for his performance in Netflix’s hit film “Society of the Snow,” and Alberto Ammann, famously from “Narcos,” are also part of the cast.
As a dedicated admirer, I’m thrilled to share that this captivating production is the latest masterpiece birthed from the prolific collaboration between a beloved author and the titan of streaming, Netflix. And here’s an exciting tidbit: another project – titled “Run Away,” featuring the talented James Nesbitt and Ruth Jones – is currently in the process of being brought to life on screen.
Caught is available on Netflix now. Run Away is yet to confirm a release date.
