Bridgerton star’s shark thriller delayed by a year as it gets title change
Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor’s upcoming shark thriller has had some big updates.
Originally unveiled in May 2024, the project has recently been rebranded, and its launch has been pushed back by one year.
The movie that was initially named “Beneath the Storm” back in August, has recently had its title changed to “Shiver”, as reported by Deadline.

Originally planned for a theater release in the U.S. on August 1st of this year, I’ll unfortunately have to hold my excitement until July 3, 2026, to finally get the chance to immerse myself in it.
Over the holiday celebrating independence, our movie is set for premiere, which puts us in competition with the third film of the Minions series.
Other than the inclusion of a shark, the plot of Shiver is being kept firmly under wraps.
However, it’s been confirmed that the director of “Violent Night,” Tommy Wirkola, will be at the helm for this project, having written the script himself. Adam McKay and Kevin Messick are set to produce the film.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that Whitney Peak from “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” and Djimon Hounsou, famously known for his role in “A Quiet Place: Day One,” are joining forces with Dynevor in their upcoming project. Can’t wait to see what they bring to the table!
Meanwhile, Dynevor recently landed her next lead film role in M Night Shyamalan’s new project.
In the upcoming, as-yet-unnamed “supernatural romantic thriller,” Dynevor will be joining forces with Jake Gyllenhaal. This project marks a unique collaboration between director M. Night Shyamalan and acclaimed author Nicholas Sparks.
An intriguing undertaking involves M. Night Shyamalan and Nicholas Sparks (the author of The Notebook) separately developing both a screenplay and a novel, using the same initial concept as the basis for their respective drafts.
The projects will share a common “idea and group of characters,” with each medium receiving its own unique adaptation or presentation.
Bridgerton seasons 1-3 are streaming on Netflix, along with Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.
