LEGO continually broadens its realm of buildable fantasies. In this instance, the renowned company has collaborated with ‘The Lord of the Rings‘ and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products to construct an incredibly intricate model of The Shire.
The detailed multi-part stage setting beautifully portrays Bilbo Baggins’ one hundred and eleventh birthday party, complete with his green front door hobbit house and a group of eight friends. Extra minifigure pieces include Frodo, Gandalf the Grey, Merry, Pippin, Rosie Cotton, Samwise Gamgee, Mrs. Proudfoot, and Farmer Proudfoot.
As a devoted fan, I’ll have the opportunity to witness an immersive reenactment of the burning letter transforming into The One Ring, accompanied by a spectacular dragon fireworks display. Extra touches like Gandalf’s horse and cart, the Party Tree, a festive pavilion, and Bilbo’s book come together to breathe life into this enchanting scene straight from Middle-earth.
Sean Astin, who is known for his role as Samwise Gamgee, made an appearance in a short film that was released to promote the product. The video showcases a detailed diorama consisting of 2,017 pieces and gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look with Astin acting as their guide. This mini-tour through the set is reminiscent of the emotional monologue about Osgiliath from the actual movies.
