Bugatti unveiled a new customization option called “Thoroughbred Team” for its Tourbillon supercar, signaling the start of personalized configuration meetings with clients across the globe.
The “Thoroughbred Team” label represents the Bugatti’s Équipe Pur Sang package, which honors its illustrious racing heritage by incorporating a variety of performance-driven, motor racing-inspired design aspects. This visual and aerodynamic upgrade comes with unique features like a front splitter, a rear wing with endplates, carbon fiber engine cover inserts, and an exclusive 8-pipe exhaust system. A fresh rear diffuser enhances downforce, thereby reinforcing the car’s menacing posture even more.
The vehicle sports distinctively sized wheels (20-inch front, 21-inch rear) that guide airflow towards the back radiator by approximately 8 percent, thereby boosting cooling effectiveness and overall efficiency. Inside, you’ll find Alcantara Performance Seats, carbon fiber accents, and Équipe Pur Sang emblems tastefully integrated into the cabin for a premium touch.
Hendrik Malinowski, Bugatti’s Managing Director, stated, “The Tourbillon embodies a blend of raw power and advanced technology.” He further expressed that with Équipe Pur Sang, they are honoring the pure-racing spirit of Bugatti.
Every Tourbillon comes equipped with a 8.3L V16 engine that’s naturally aspirated and produces 1,000 horsepower. Three electric motors boost this power to a total of 1,800 horsepower. Remarkably, despite the hybrid setup, it is lighter than its previous model due to an advanced T800 carbon composite frame. Only 250 of these luxury items are available worldwide, each priced at €3,800,000 EUR ($4,120,782 USD). The buying experience is tailored for each customer, who can personalize their purchase at Bugatti’s Molsheim headquarters or authorized dealers.
