At AnimeJapan 2025, held on March 22nd and 23rd, the release date for “The Chainsaw Man — The Movie: Reze Arc” was officially announced. This highly anticipated film of the year is rapidly approaching, promising a delightful blend of humor, fresh battles, romantic entanglements, and the exceptional animation style in animation that MAPPA has become known for.

What is the Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc about?

It’s common knowledge that Denji is searching for his soulmate. Following a date with Makima, the woman he adores, Denji seeks refuge from the rain and encounters Reze, a barista. He never imagined having two women caring for him, leaving him in a challenging predicament. Which one will he ultimately pick?

In the world of manga, Reze has gained widespread popularity due to her compelling emotional journey and pivotal position within the narrative. With the forthcoming Chainsaw Man film serving as a continuation of the 2022 anime series, it’s a must-see for devoted fans.

This production is helmed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, a director who has also worked on shows like One Punch Man, My Dress-Up Darling, Black Clover, and the film Jujutsu Kaisen 0, among others.
