EXES REUNITE FOR BABY’S BIRTHDAY
Simone Holtznagel and Jono Castano have managed to set aside their disputes for the sake of co-parenting their little girl.
Last year in May, the 31-year-old model and her 33-year-old personal trainer parted ways, yet they’ve managed to maintain a strong connection while focusing on raising their child together.
This week, Gia’s former parents got back together to jointly celebrate her first birthday. They both posted about this joyful event on their Instagram accounts.
In a heartwarming moment, the couple stood together for photographs, with the beaming mom blowing out candles on her daughter’s birthday cake. Meanwhile, Jono watched on.
They gave the child a birthday cake with a single candle, along with some presents, on her birthday.
Apart from other family members, they also seemed to be there, and their ease and comfort around one another was evident.
The two split in May last year, around nine weeks after welcoming Gia into the world.
In spite of their bitter separation, they reconnected this past week for a joint fitness session at Jono’s Acero Gym in January.
Simone and Jono posted several workout videos on their Instagram Stories, which depicted them having fun during their morning exercise routine.
One clip showed Simone working on her core with her elbows perched on a large gym ball.
Meanwhile, Jono positioned himself behind his former partner, providing support and positivity, while Gia was securely fastened on the fitness instructor’s torso in a baby carrier.
In this clip, they propose that it signifies the beginning of a radiant career path in the fitness world for Gia.
‘Gia’s first client,’ they joked.
As an over-the-moon fanboy, I couldn’t help but be captivated by another footage that showcased baby Gia, eyes wide with curiosity, observing one of Jonno’s gym buddies pedaling away on an exercise bike, breaking a sweat.
A third video showed Jono in doting dad mode, playfully bouncing his daughter in the baby carrier.
In July 2024, Jono publicly announced their split to Daily Mail Australia, and since then, Simone has been bringing up Gia on her own.
She also recently made a cryptic remark that she ‘couldn’t change’ the man she loved.
In a conversation with Stellar, Simone shared that a change occurred within her as she aimed to serve as a role model for her daughter.
‘One day I was like, “What am I doing? This isn’t right.”
‘And I would hate if she was ever in this situation.’
She continued: ‘You have to do what is right for you at the end of the day.
Regardless of the quantity of promises or other things people might say, always trust their actions, as they reveal their true character.
‘Because you can’t change people.’
In addition, Simone expressed satisfaction with sharing custody of Gia with Jono, and she feels certain that her decision was the appropriate one.
‘I’ve never felt more sure of anything, and I know I can do it by myself,’ she admitted.
She mentioned that it was regrettable she had to handle most of the tasks alone, but she couldn’t conceive of another solution, in all honesty.
“It seems perfectly fitting for me what I’m engaged in, my top priority is ensuring Gia’s well-being – her happiness and good health – and, of course, my own.
Back in 2022, I, a die-hard fan, found myself captivated when the news broke that this dynamic duo had ignited their romance, having parted ways just a few months prior from Jono’s longtime companion, Amy.
As a devoted admirer, I’d like to share a bit about Jono and Amy, two renowned celebrity trainers who once shared the bond of high school sweethearts. Unfortunately, their 15-year journey together concluded in 2021 with a divorce.
Last year in October, it was confirmed that Simone and Jono were going to have their first baby together, and on Easter Sunday, March 31st, they happily welcomed their daughter, Gia, into the world.
As Simone remains single, Jono has since moved on with fashion designer Nilofar Khirzad.
