Nimi Nightmare broke records and raised over USD$350k against cancer to honor her cat
Nimi and her Naplings raised a lot of money for cancer research, in honor of Baby Bean.
During a recent charity livestream, the Virtual YouTuber known as Nimi Nightmare successfully accumulated a substantial sum for cancer research in memory of her deceased feline companion. Not just contributing to cancer research, this fundraising effort also shattered previous records.
Nimi Nightmare’s charity stream for Baby Bean
Nimi Nightmare currently operates independently without any affiliations, as a Virtual YouTuber. Regrettably, her beloved feline companion, Bean, passed away due to liver cancer this month, following multiple surgeries.
In honor of Baby Bean, I’m planning my first-ever charity live stream to support St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital! Expect a day filled with games, special guests, and exciting donation milestones throughout an 8-hour broadcast. I can’t wait for you to join the celebration!

Not just Nimi, but her fans as well felt the sorrow of her loss. They had been with her and her beloved pet Bean through thick and thin, cheering them on in their struggles. There was an overwhelming amount of fan art showcasing Nimi and Bean, and this support could be seen clearly during the charity stream as well.
The fundraising event for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital lasted for eight hours. Amazingly, her initial target of $100,000 was achieved within just ten minutes of starting the event.
Additionally, Nimi brought in fellow Virtual YouTubers for the live broadcast. She teamed up with Maid Mint Fantôme and dooby3D, engaging in fun-filled gaming sessions together.
By the close of the live broadcast, she had successfully amassed approximately $355,262.03 in donations. Grateful for this extraordinary accomplishment, she expressed her heartfelt appreciation to her supporters, viewers, and contributors. With such a substantial donation, many of her aspirations were fulfilled. These ranged from recreating and re-sharing old videos, offering artwork to generous donors, to unveiling adorable snapshots of her baby named Bean!
The most successful VTuber charity stream
Nimi’s charity live broadcast broke records, making it the highest-grossing charitable event ever hosted by a VTuber, surpassing Dokibird’s previous record of $252,000 donated to the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation. Prior to this, Amelia Watson from hololive English held the title for the most successful single charity stream after raising $235,000 for the Best Friends Animal Society.
Noteworthy charity work by VTubers includes that of Ironmouse. For a span of 40 days, she spearheaded a campaign to aid the Immune Deficiency Foundation, one of many philanthropic endeavors she’s involved in.
