Alison Hammond, Davina McCall, Alesha Dixon, Jonathan Ross, AJ Odudu, teamed up with Rylan Clark-Neal, Joel Dommett, and Tom Allen to take charge of the show that originally appeared on air in 1985.

Following Jamie Laing’s emotional breakdown upon finishing his demanding Ultra Marathon, he managed to raise an awe-inspiring sum of £2,000,007 for Comic Relief.
After Jamie Laing cried in tears following his grueling Ultra Marathon challenge, he astoundingly raised £2,000,007 for Comic Relief.
36-year-old BBC Radio 1 host completed an arduous 150-mile, five-day run from London to Salford. Overwhelmed with emotion, he was consoled by his wife, Sophie Habboo, upon reaching the finish line.
Overwhelmed with joy, an elated Jamie exclaimed, “I can hardly contain my tears of gratitude. Incredible! You are truly making a difference in people’s lives. A heartfelt thank you!
He was greeted by enthusiastic spectators, along with his fellow Radio 1 hosts Greg James, Vick Hope, and Jeremiah Asiamah, who revealed the staggering sum of money he had managed to collect.
Initially, I felt like all hope was lost. Mentally, I was drained, physically shattered. I had no strength remaining. Some mysterious force revived me.
Before adding: ‘The last kilometre was the most euphoric thing I’ve ever had.’

On the last day of his five-day endeavor, Jamie was accompanied during a part by Greg, who added a charming touch with his wedding attire, including a gown and garters.
In an effort to encourage Jamie before his upcoming race, his friend Toby was there to provide support at the starting point. Their emotional encounter was broadcasted live and also shared in a touching video on Instagram.
In a heartfelt hug, Jamie found it tough not to shed tears, for Toby had been instrumental in Jamie’s transformation, helping him shift his perspective on anxiety and mental health. Toby motivated Jamie to lace up his running shoes as a means of dealing with stress.
To his friend Jamie, he wept: “Toby, who stood by me at my wedding, was the one I’d call when I hit a low spot. When I wasn’t telling anyone else about my struggles, he’d assure me, ‘We’ll get through this together.’
Toby was the person I was with then, the one I conversed with, and he’s the one accompanying me now. Therefore, his presence holds great significance for me.
Toby replied: “To be honest, I’m at a loss for words. Ever since you entered my world 17 years ago, Jamie, you’ve significantly improved it. You’re not just a good friend, but an inspiration to all around you…
As I’ve had the privilege to cross paths with many, you stand out uniquely among them. It’s been an honor to be included in your journey. I must say, your spirit leaves me in admiration. You have my deepest respect and affection, friend.
Later in the day, things became more cheerful as Jamie was accompanied during part of his run by the radio host Greg, aged 39. Notably, he wore an attractive ivory bridal dress.

Previously, Greg mentioned to Jamie that he would participate in his challenge wearing a wedding dress if the donations surpassed £450,000. Remarkably, fans effortlessly broke this record.
The wedding gown was a tribute to Greg’s current wife, Bella, who had proposed to him before his Gregathlon challenge for Sport Relief in 2018.
In his segment on Radio 1, Greg, adorned with a veil and lace gloves for the occasion, described it as if he were in a surreal or vivid dream-like state.
At the moment, I’m jogging alongside him, maintaining his speed, and I must admit, it’s truly impressive. Honestly, it is. For those who are into running, he’s been sustaining a pace of approximately 6 minutes per kilometer, and we’re now on day 5.
I’m with the group of serious long-distance runners who are accompanying him on his journey. They’ve expressed that they haven’t witnessed anything like it before – a non-runner effortlessly reaching such high speeds is astonishing. In short, he’s extraordinary! He seems to be in top form!
On the first day, Jamie started his trip in London and ran all the way to Harpenden. The following day, he ran from Wyboston to Kettering.
The TV star began his third day in Market Harborough and headed to Loughborough.
On his fourth day, Jamie ran from Kegworth (through Belper and Derby) and finished up in Matlock.
On the last day, starting in Buxton, Jamie’s journey concludes in Salford, Manchester.
After Jamie confessed that he was enduring intense pain throughout his entire body during his demanding Ultra Marathons, which he undertook to support Comic Relief.
On Thursday, I shared with The Sun my current state of discomfort, saying, “Every fiber of my being aches. It’s the outpouring of kindness and generosity from others that keeps me going. I am astounded by the level of support I have received.
On the fourth day’s close, a fatigued Jamie collapsed on the ground, whereupon his wife Sophie Habboo provided comfort.
On the fourth day of his grueling Ultra Marathon competition, Jamie vomited on Thursday. Later, he was spotted along the road receiving attention from paramedics.
Jamie ran his second-to-last course, starting at Kegworth, proceeding through Belper, continuing on to Derby, and concluding in Matlock.
On Wednesday night, following his third day, he expressed that it was undoubtedly the toughest challenge he had faced throughout his lifetime.

Today, around the midpoint, approximately 25 kilometers into my journey, I found myself questioning my stamina. For a moment, it seemed insurmountable. But that was when I thought, “I can’t.” Instead, I changed my mindset to, “I won’t.” And so, I pressed on.
He went on saying: “It was astounding to dash through the throng at Loughborough; it was unbelievable! And for Oli and Soph to ambush me with a surprise today, I was left speechless.
Currently, I’m finding everything rather overpowering – I feel shattered to the core at present. My body is stiffening, my mind exhausted, and I’m anxious about what lies ahead, but there’s a strange sense of positivity in all this chaos. Here’s to facing the challenges ahead!
On Thursday morning, Matt announced that the total donations had surpassed £510,000, an impressive figure that left Jamie in tears.
Later on, Jamie’s friend and ex-castmate from Made In Chelsea, Josh Patterson (JP), came to his side. Throughout the journey, he offered valuable encouragement that Jamie needed during his last race.
Contributions to Radio 1’s Ultra Marathon event, featuring Jamie, during Red Nose Day, will be essential in securing resources that may assist in ensuring meals and shelter for many, enhancing child safety, and aiding families dealing with conflict not only within the UK but globally.
For Red Nose Day this year, Jamie Laing’s Ultra Marathon challenge on Radio 1 will air live on both Radio 1 and BBC Sounds throughout the week. Highlights of the event will also be shared on Radio 1’s social media platforms in video format.
