I Hate This Place is a Comic Book-Inspired Isometric Survival Horror Set For Release in Q4 2025
Last year, the joint development label established by Bloober Team, known as Broken Mirror Games, recently unveiled a new “I Hate This Place.” This is an open-world survival horror game set to release in the last quarter of 2025.
Created by Rock Square Thunder, the game titled “I Hate This Place” draws inspiration from Skybound Entertainment’s Eisner Award-nominated comic book series penned by Kyle Starks and illustrated by Artyom Topilin. It transports players into a fantastical universe where the conventions of our world no longer hold true.
As a gamer, I’d put it like this: “I’m diving into a chilling isometric world reminiscent of ’80s comic books, titled I Hate This Place. It’s filled with diverse locations to explore and a spine-tingling storyline waiting to be unraveled. In this game, I embody Elena, whose journey for survival kicks off when she unwittingly summons an ominous force.
In a tough situation where she’s constantly pursued, Elena must use her intelligence to adapt her environment to even the odds against powerful adversaries. She has the ability to participate in shootouts and hand-to-hand combat, which values cleverness over sheer strength, and can create necessary items to aid her survival.
Every evening, Elena must find her way to a secure location since the time of day affects gameplay mechanics. It’s crucial to steer clear of The Horned Man at all times in this chilling adventure, titled “I Hate This Place“. Launching on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC in Q4 2025, don’t miss the teaser video below.
