Tragic Loss: Soap Star Mark Dobies Passes Away at 65, Leaving Fans Heartbroken

Mark Dobies, well recognized for his performances in daytime dramas such as One Life to Live and Guiding Light from the 2000s era, passed away at the age of 65.

The actor sadly died on March 11, in Dunellen, New Jersey. A local notice stated this, adding that he was fondly remembered as a devoted father, skilled athlete, and gifted actor. He led a life marked by passion, determination, and affection.

His cause of death remains unknown, at this time. 

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dobies gained notoriety for his portrayal of both the district attorney character and the serial killer Daniel Colson on the soap opera One Life to Live between 2003 and 2005.

Besides their own show, this artist was featured as a guest star in various TV series such as Just Shoot Me!, Home Improvement, Profiler, Melrose Place, Everybody Loves Raymond, CSI: Miami, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Gossip Girl and Nash Bridges.

Furthermore, he took on the role of Bruce Niles during the 2004 off-Broadway reprise of Larry Kramer’s The Normal Heart, which was staged at The Public Theater.

Apart from his mother Suzanne and his brothers Paul and Sandy, he is also leaves behind his three children – Francesca, Olivia, and Robert – whom he had with his former wife, Linda Hill.
