Machine Gun Kelly Claps Back at Critic Over Emotional Tribute Song!

Machine Gun Kelly slammed a music critic for his review of his latest song, Your Name Forever.

After Jesea Lee criticized his song “Your Name Forever,” rapper Colson Baker countered by asserting that the critique was part of a baseless hate campaign against him.

Last Tuesday, the 34-year-old artist came back to the world of rock by unveiling a new song that he created with Avenged Sevenfold members M. Shadows and Synyster Gates, Bring Me the Horizon’s Oli Sykes, and Mod Sun.

The fast-paced song with a rock and rap blend is a tribute to their dearly departed friend, the snowboarder Luke ‘The Dingo’ Trembath – he sadly left us at the age of 38 on the 28th of February.

In his critique, Lee drew a parallel between the melody of the song by the musician to that of Linkin Park’s music. Moreover, he mentioned that Baker composed this piece as a heartfelt tribute to his deceased companion.

In my role as a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it like this: Although the overall review wasn’t entirely unfavorable, there was one specific remark that struck a nerve with me, especially considering my partner Megan Fox, who is about to give birth soon, is involved in the situation.

He stated, “Some folks may dislike this simply due to it being Machine Gun Kelly‘s work.” Before inviting rock enthusiasts to listen to the track and express their opinions.

Following Lee’s post on Wednesday, Baker chimed in with his own opinions in the comment section shortly thereafter.

‘This song is for one of my best friends who just passed away,’ he began in his comment.

Why make a random remark like ‘You might hate this because it’s mgk’? If you’re going to comment on something we feel strongly about, try to keep the tone positive or neutral instead of bringing up painful memories.

He also asked the rock music critic to not speak negatively about him.

For the record, I’m not about spreading negativity or hate. All I do is express my deep-seated passion for this genre by sharing love and contributing to its growth – the very thing you cover in your reports.

Apart from this, Baker likewise posted a screenshot of his remark on Lee’s post to his Instagram Story, stating that the critic was “thoroughly roasted.

The next day, Lee shared another video and mentioned that he’s encountered threatening messages (comments and DMs) since the musician publicized their Instagram Story.

He stated, in a recorded segment, that an influx of his numerous admirers seems to be directed towards me. However, he found the idea of feeling threatened to be somewhat excessive.

He mentioned that it seemed as if he was continuing a story that had already been written, referring to the fact that rock and metal fans have already made up their minds regarding Machine Gun Kelly.

He made it clear that his interactions with fans in the comment section were not intended to be perceived as insensitive or spreading any form of negativity.

He asked fans from the rock and metal community to consider giving the musician a fair chance, rather than instantly criticizing whatever he produces.

‘So I was saying, “Put that aside and check out the song,”‘ he added.

Addressing the rapper, he expressed, ‘MGK, I’m truly sorry for your loss of a friend and someone dear to you. Something like that is not something to make light of.’

Baker has not yet responded to Lee’s comments in his follow-up video.
