Euphoria star reacts to claims she stormed off set
Euphoria star Barbie Ferreira has responded to claims that she walked off the set of the HBO show.
In the initial two runs of “Euphoria,” the performer portrayed Kat. However, she won’t make an appearance in the upcoming third and concluding season. On the “Viall Files” podcast, she clarified that there was no truth to the speculations about her leaving during filming.
She asserted, “I’ve never left the filming location. Such an incident never occurred. It was quite a significant event. To set the record straight, I unequivocally didn’t do it. Feel free to verify my statement with the hundreds of people who were present every day.

She went into detail about her reasons for leaving the show following season 2, emphasizing that she and the show’s creator, Sam Levinson, had reached an understanding after numerous discussions about Kat’s role in the series, following a lot of creative dialogue regarding her character’s purpose.
Ferreira explained: “I didn’t make the decision alone. After many discussions following season two, it seemed like there was no other direction to take. Rather than waiting nine more months, it was better for both of us to wrap things up then and there.
She emphasized, “Kat is incredibly important to me. I’ve invested countless years of myself into her, yet we both feel it’s best not to jeopardize what we have. This choice wasn’t mine alone; it was something we mutually agreed upon.
In her words, acting is full of constant events, requiring resilience and wise choices suitable for oneself and one’s career. She admitted it was challenging, especially given her youth, but added that there was much discussion surrounding the topic that was unfounded.
She often labeled many of the speculations regarding her or the program as “fan hypotheses,” drawing upon Kat’s interest in fan theories from the series.
Euphoria streams on Max in the US and on Sky Go/NOW in the UK.
