Selena Gomez Buys $35M Mansion, Reveals Wedding Plans Are on Hold

As an over-the-moon fanatic, I can’t help but feel thrilled as Selena Gomez and her future husband, Benny Blanco, apparently secured a massive loan of $22.75 million to acquire the breathtaking Spanish-style mansion in Beverly Hills that sets them back a whopping $35 million! Talk about living the dream!

Based on public property records examined by The U.S. Sun, the couple obtained a loan from BMO Bank, North America, and they have until January 1, 2055, to repay this loan.

Instead of buying the house directly, the affectionate duo acquired it through a Limited Liability Company (LLC) that also owns properties in Hollywood and Encino, both currently unlisted on any real estate market.

It’s quite usual for affluent celebrities such as Gomez (with a net worth of $1.3 billion) to borrow substantial amounts when making significant purchases, helping them keep a fluid financial situation while using their cash for further investment opportunities.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Gomez’s rep for comment, but have not heard back at this time. 

It’s thought that they have previously relocated to a new place, featuring no less than seven bedrooms and twelve baths.

As reported by TMZ, it’s said that the couple acquired their home in December, coincidentally the very same month they made their engagement public.

The article mentioned that this grand residence boasts a library, a curving stairwell, a glass-enclosed greenhouse, a workout facility, and a swimming pool.

And it was reportedly one of the enclave’s most expensive sales of 2024.

Earlier this week, Gomez revealed that she and Blanco are in no rush to get married. 

The couple shared with Rolling Stone that they currently don’t have any immediate plans for a wedding ceremony.

Blanco pondered, “She seems to have a different wedding design each day in her mind. We, however, are the kind of folks who prefer to deal with things as they come; we’re still savoring this very moment.

He, then, added: ‘Literally, while you were talking, she was sitting there staring at her ring.’

The duo is right now getting ready for the launch of their debut collaborative album, set to be released on March 21st.

In an interview with Interview Magazine last month, Selena revealed that she plans to keep the details of her record producer’s proposal a secret until they can share it with their future kids someday.

The star conveyed, ‘I’m saving for our children. It was incredibly touching, and exactly the right words were spoken.’ Blanco chimed in, calling it an ‘unbelievably amazing surprise.’

In the course of their long-term musical collaboration, it became apparent that the pair developed mutual feelings for one another.

As soon as we began spending time together, I instinctively knew, “This is my spouse.” I confidently informed my mother, “This is the woman I will marry.

The two stars further talked about their mutual admiration for each other, with Blanco expressing, “Now I hold her in the highest regard, almost as if she walks on hallowed ground, and it seems to me that I am cherished just as deeply by her.

He stated that there is no self-centeredness present in their relationship. Instead of wishing for personal victory, they both hope for each other to succeed. Each day when they awaken, they share a common thought: “What can I do to improve her life?” This is how he described their feelings.

Blanco expressed, “Merely holding her isn’t satisfying enough; I yearn to be intertwined with every part of her. There’s an emotion within me that I struggle to articulate. I’m feeling quite sentimental.

Then he said, ‘I’m really worried that she might suddenly wake up and say, “None of this is real!”,’ to which Selena gently responded, ‘You can’t get rid of me.’

Regarding the production of the album, Benny shared that we actually put it together at home instead of going to a studio daily. He’d often say something like, “Check out this neat chord progression,” and then she would join in.

Our studio sessions weren’t structured with clear plans each day. Instead, they were a mix of different activities over varying periods.

He shared, “I’ve never collaborated like that before. Normally, I work independently, but it was amazing to have the opportunity to work together with her.

This has evolved into something that feels more like a precious gift rather than an ordinary thing, and I am incredibly thankful for it.
