Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ Impending Launch Reportedly Prompts ‘Anti-Harassment Plan’ For Ubisoft Staff
According to reports, Ubisoft is preparing for the release of “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” by creating a strategy to prevent harassment among the team members involved in its development.
As a gamer, I recently heard some inside news: Apparently, the folks behind Assassin’s Creed Shadow’s project have been advised not to flaunt their involvement on social media due to potential harassment. This info was shared anonymously with French news network BFMTV, as reported by both PCGamesN and GI.biz. The aim seems to be discouraging them from revealing their work online.
According to the source, this initiative hails from Canada, specifically a social and economic committee formed by Ubisoft Canada workers. Essentially, there’s a dedicated team that stays vigilant over networks and swiftly responds when an attack targeted at them occurs. This is different from previous situations, as it appears to be a more serious matter.
As per the report, a specific team will carefully scrutinize social media content, and legal action is prepared if there’s proof of harassment. In response to this report, Ubisoft’s representative confirmed that employee safety holds the utmost importance for their company.
The spokesperson clarified that while each team member manages their own social media accounts, Ubisoft places great emphasis on ensuring employee safety – both offline and online. As a company policy, we provide advice on using social media responsibly, digital security, and support for our staff’s overall well-being.
Additionally, we provide shared resources aimed at preventing and safeguarding against cyberbullying, a problem that unfortunately impacts some members of our team.
The action-adventure game titled “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” has been released on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC as of 20th March, and the initial feedback from critics is largely favorable. Look forward to our review in the near future!
