Jodie Comer thrilled as she reprises “deeply rewarding” role for “one last time”

Jodie Comer is set to reprise her award-winning role in Prima Facie for “one last time“.

In 2022, the actress from “Killing Eve” had her first performance on London’s West End as the character Tessa, a criminal barrister, in Suzie Miller’s highly praised one-woman play. The subsequent year saw her Broadway debut playing the same role.

As a devoted admirer, I’m thrilled to share that the extraordinary Comer has bagged numerous accolades for her exceptional acting skills. Among them are the prestigious Olivier and Tony Awards. To add to the glory, a live recording of the play she starred in shattered a long-standing cinema record.

The confirmation has come through that Comer will reprise her role as Prima Facie when the production embarks on its UK and Ireland tour starting in January 2026.

The show will debut at Richmond Theatre, Richmond Upon Thames on January 23, 2026. After that, it will travel to eight more locations: Dublin, Edinburgh, Cardiff, York, Bath, Canterbury, Birmingham, and Liverpool, concluding its tour on March 21. Ticket sales for the entire tour begin on March 25, 2025.

Initially, it appears that the character Comer portrays is a gifted young attorney who finds himself grappling with the intersection of legal authority, the obligation of evidence, and moral compass following an unforeseen incident involving a fellow lawyer.

Comer expressed her immense gratitude at getting the chance to revisit “Prima Facie” once more, and to embark on a nationwide and Irish tour with this significant production.

She went on to say: “Suzie Miller’s writing struck a chord, resonating more strongly than we ever anticipated, not only in London but also in New York.

I’m absolutely delighted to reunite our team and bring our production to stages across the nation, with stops in my beloved home city of Liverpool included!

From a personal perspective, there’s no ending I’d rather imagine for this extraordinary, immensely fulfilling phase of my journey.

Tickets for Prima Facie’s UK and Ireland tour go on sale on March 25, 2025.
