Some social media commentators criticized the actress and her partner for participating in a trend that some consider unethical, which, according to detractors, essentially means wealthy individuals paying for use of women’s bodies.
Some have evened likened it to ‘human trafficking.’
Some people theorized that Lily, like many high-profile celebrities, may have decided to forgo pregnancies in order to maintain her physical appearance.
In response to the critical comments regarding surrogacy and our way of having a child, McDowell, who is 41 years old, defended himself online by saying: ‘It’s understandable if you’re not well-informed about surrogacy.’
As a fervent admirer, let me express that it’s perfectly fine if the reasons behind someone’s choice to use a surrogate to start a family remain a mystery to us. It’s also okay not to understand the motivations driving a surrogate, as our assumptions may not align with their true intentions.
Instead of adding more negative speech, it’s great to reduce that and instead focus on the positivity surrounding a lovely little girl who brings so much love. For now, I must attend to her needs as she has just soiled her diaper.
