Adrian Araouzou, the center of controversy from the television show “Married at First Sight”, has finally spoken up about his dispute with internet personality Abbie Chatfield.

The dispute started about a month ago when Abbie, aged 29, invited an ex-girlfriend of Adrian’s onto her “It’s a Lot” podcast. This ex-girlfriend shared accounts of unbecoming actions by the Married at First Sight stars towards her.

Adrian, aged 30, characterized the lady from Brisbane named Denver whom he had been dating for six weeks, as someone who only stayed for brief periods.

On Tuesday, Adrian’s heated dispute with the popular figure from FB Island reached new heights as Abbie posted a TikTok criticizing spectators for backing the groom during his tumultuous relationship with single mom Awhina Rutene.

She remarked, “Don’t be so quick to forget.” She accompanied this with, “It’s a tactic used for control.

In the video, Abbie was clearly being sarcastic as she addressed viewers, mockingly saying: “Those commenting on Adrian online…They’re going, ‘Should we apologize to him? The edit wasn’t fair at all, oh my goodness…I’ve grown quite fond of Adrian now; he’s hilarious and good-looking.’

On TikTok, Adrian reposted Abbie’s video with the caption “Stitch this up.

Initially, he clarified that numerous fans had shared with him Abbie’s critical assessment, and further elaborated, “I aim for everyone, including Abbie, to grasp the situation clearly…Prior to embarking on this experiment, I was aware of my imperfections.

I acknowledge my flaws and understand that I’m far from being flawless. Reflecting on past moments hasn’t always been a breeze. If only I could redo some situations, perhaps with more openness and honesty.

I regret not being able to express my feelings and emotions as effectively as I would have liked. I aspire to be more empathetic.

He went on to indicate he had ‘learned’ about relationships after his time on the experiment. 

However, the most captivating aspect of this experiment for me was recognizing the need for self-reflection, as I gazed into a mirror and acknowledged personal responsibility.

‘And be like ”hey I can be better I can do better and more importantly I can be a better partner.”

It seems to me that’s the reason some individuals are warming up to me, as we all recognize that no one is flawless. We all tend to commit errors in our relationships.

In the course of your life, it’s inevitable that you’ll encounter errors if you remain receptive to learning and personal development within relationships. This is simply part of the journey towards self-improvement.

That’s really something I appreciate. I’m definitely not the same individual I used to be compared to who I am today.

It comes after Adrian spoke to Daily Mail Australia about his controversial portrayal on the show.

Last month, he boldly declared that he was the standout figure in the experiment, expressing no remorse for his candid straightforwardness, even when it was blunt.

As a lifestyle consultant, I find myself often reflecting on the complexities of relationships, and my own experiences have taught me that even the strongest bonds can face turbulence. In my case, finding common ground with my partner has been an ongoing journey, filled with misunderstandings about communication styles and unmet expectations.

In a straightforward interview, the proprietor of the sports apparel company defended his frank demeanor, acknowledging that some viewers might find it abrasive, yet asserting that he prefers to keep things this way.

Adrian is well aware of the attention he’s receiving, both good and bad.

‘I think I’m the superstar of the show right now. I’m getting that much love. It’s crazy,’ he said.

Regardless of the intense debates visible on-screen, Adrian maintains that he remains unaffected by the criticism.

I must admit, I’m genuinely having a good time with this. You know, many superheroes initially began their journey as anti-heroes or even villains. It seems we can’t help but discuss the subject of myself.

Adrian also hinted at behind-the-scenes editing that may have influenced his portrayal.

A significant area where Adrian and Awhina have found themselves at odds centers on the topic of their respective families, specifically the impact of Awhina’s child from a prior relationship on their interactions.

Adrian admitted that he struggled to navigate these conversations so early on.

As we’ve only recently crossed paths, I find myself pondering whether it’s wise to dive into deeper waters so soon, for our shared history remains rather shallow at the moment.

Despite the drama, Adrian is leaning into his notoriety.

‘They can definitely pass me the crown, mate. I’ll sit on the throne, no worries.’
