Kanye West Sparks Outrage Over Racial Remarks About North’s Music Collab

On Tuesday, Kanye West made a series of tweets that appeared to criticize his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, suggesting unease over a non-Black woman having control over their biracial children.

Originating from Chicago, the individual made remarks aimed at his former spouse, these responses were sparked by news of a potential musical partnership between his 11-year-old daughter, North, and the rapper Playboi Carti, who is 28 years old. However, he has expressed his disapproval towards this collaboration.

47-year-old Stronger artist, Kim, stated on Twitter Tuesday morning that he gained both the name and image rights over my black children.

24-time Grammy award winner further stated, “‘It’s absurd that a white woman holds the rights to the names and images of my children, and then discusses featuring my daughter in a song with Carti… These famous individuals seem to think they can toy with me openly.’

In the west, there are four kids being raised, and one of them is Kim Kardashian, at the age of 44. The girls are North, who’s 11 years old, and Chicago, aged seven; while the boys are Saint, who turned nine this year, and Psalm, currently five.

In a previous tweet on Tuesday night, The Runaway Artist expressed discomfort about North collaborating with Playboi Carti, since he isn’t actively participating in the project himself.

West stated, “I’ve chosen not to collaborate on any songs with Carti. It seems unfair to me that I was excluded from the album, only to be asked later for features from my daughter.

The Vocalist remarked, “I couldn’t care less about the business side of things or the fact that it’s just a thin layer to begin with, and I don’t pay attention to any criticism.

West expressed his views regarding the connection between gender and shared parenting, stating that ‘the father holds primary and ultimate decision-making authority over his children.’

As a devoted fan and supporter, I can’t help but express my thoughts about the artistic disagreement between the Black Skinhead artist and Playboy Carti. He seems disappointed that Carti hasn’t collaborated with him amidst recent controversies, especially considering their past successful collaboration on the 2024 hit single “CARNIVAL.

Hi North, it’s interesting! My father provided me with one of my most significant songs and an endorsement, but due to his recent tweets, he wasn’t included in my album. However, since you are my niece, I decided to incorporate your voice instead.

The lead singer expressed that it was inappropriate for Playboi Carti to secretly collaborate with North without his knowledge.

West stated, “I chose not to mention being excluded from Carti’s album. However, his approach of asking my former partner for our daughter to feature in a song just two days later crossed the line… No one is going to mess with me.

On Tuesday, West positioned himself as an advocate for those without a voice within the delicate landscape of modern cancel culture.

In simpler terms, the Dark Fantasy artist stated, ‘Many individuals have opinions they’re afraid to express due to fear of backlash. In a strange sense, I voice their thoughts. Sometimes, even when I express things that might offend them. Essentially, by speaking up, I represent everyone.’

A contentious statement about race issues was made, following reports from confidants to DailyMail.com last month suggesting that Kim and Scott Disick, aged 41, have been experiencing significant friction due to Kim’s former partner’s racially charged comments.

According to reports from DailyMail.com, Disick feels frustrated with Kim because she hasn’t spoken out against her ex-husband’s offensive comments about Jews on his social media accounts, which have a large following.

According to a source who spoke to Dailymail.com, Disick, who is the father of three children with Kourtney (Kim’s elder sister), 45, is deeply angered by the fact that Kim has not publicly condemned Kanye West’s offensive and anti-Semitic comments, as Disick was brought up Jewish.

Disick feels deeply upset by Kanye’s comments against the Jewish community, and he has grown tired of their relationship as a result. The source added.

For most of the year, the West has been at the center of heated debates due to an overwhelming stream of tweets that appear to spread anti-Semitic views.

On February 11th, the Yeezy store on West’s official website, which had been promoted through a pricey advertisement during the Super Bowl, was temporarily removed from operation by Shopify due to the sale of a controversial white shirt bearing a black swastika symbol at its center.

On Thursday, West expressed his views on the ongoing controversy through a sequence of tweets, hinting that he intends to don the swastika-emblazoned outfit during his performance at the Super Bowl.

Next year, I’ll be taking the stage at the Super Bowl, sporting my humble T-shirt, I shared. It turns out, some folks have invested in my simple tee.

He mentioned that Shopify restored his account following its removal of his store during the uproar about the shirts. However, he stated that he had no intention of utilizing it anymore.

On February 10th, the Anti-Defamation League stated via Twitter: ‘Kanye’s alleged antisemitism seems more evident than ever, as he decided to sell a t-shirt featuring a swastika symbol on his website.’

Beyond just mentioning it, the t-shirt on Kanye’s site is labeled as “HH-01,” which stands for a highly offensive term associated with Hitler. Over the past week, Kanye has been consistently posting abhorrent antisemitic content, and there’s no justification for such reprehensible behavior.

Additionally, they noted that Kanye’s promotion of his website during the Super Bowl not only reached but also significantly expanded his impact, surpassing an already substantial social media following.

As a dedicated follower, I recently took action in line with Tal-Or Cohen Montemayor, the founder and executive director of CyberWell, an online vigilance group combating anti-Semitism. On February 11, he shared with Dailymail.com that our efforts were directed towards bypassing West’s authority to have a specific page removed from the platform.

Cohen Montemayor stated that CyberWell contacted Shopify regarding the blatant misuse of their services by yeezy.com, which contravened the terms of agreement, specifically concerning compliance and safety.

Montemayor stated that Shopify’s team took immediate and decisive action by eliminating the shop section from yeezy.com, as it was found to be selling offensive content related to antisemitism.

Cohen Montemayor commended Shopify, stating that such leadership and accountability are precisely what one would hope to see demonstrated by ALL leaders of social media platforms and digital services.

According to Cohen Montemayor, when an individual misuses a platform or services to spread hate without consequences, it’s important that action is taken to stop them.

According to Cohen Montemayor, GoDaddy manages the domain for yeezy.com, yet the Swastika T-Shirt store disregards their terms of service. It would be advisable for them to take similar action and relinquish control over the domain.

On Thursday, podcast host Van Lathan, known for his intense debate with Kanye West at TMZ in 2018, criticized West’s recent Twitter posts, referring to him as ‘the one lagging behind in the Black community’s educational setting.’

Lathan wrote, “I’m happy for your wealth, but it appears that’s what you prioritize most. Money is indeed powerful and offers many opportunities. However, I believe our community could greatly benefit from it too. Warmly.

One thing that’s priceless compared to money is the value of people. I’m confident we can both attest that no amount of money could quantify North’s laughter, nor would anyone be financially wealthy enough to bring a loved one back from the dead. I would give everything I have for my father, whom I lost in 2021.

Lathan explained to West that he found himself enclosed within a protective sphere typically reserved for infants, allowing him the freedom to act impulsively and carelessly. This behavior is often forgiven due to the warmth and affection others feel towards him.

We understand this situation, but for now, we prefer to focus on other things. However, if the baby starts picking up dangerous items like sharp objects or learns behaviors such as Nazism or domestic abuse, we’ll need to take steps to make our environment safer until they stop acting in such a way.

Lathan, who shares hosting duties on the podcast Higher Learning with Rachel Lindsay, added, “You’ve hit the nail on the head – I, like many others, am bound by the chains of capitalism. We must labor.

However, there’s no one more enslaved than someone who prioritizes money over dignity. Absolutely no one. So I’ll continue to be a slave, while you can remain as you are – the slower student in the Black community’s class. Keep on picking your boogers, Kanye.
