Gigantamax Snorlax debuting in Pokémon GO via Max Battle Day

Get ready for a Snor-Max Battle Day in Pokémon GO.

In the upcoming update for Pokemon GO, we’ll be introducing the next Gigantamax Pokemon: Snorlax! Known for its distinctive Gigantamax design, Snorlax is one of the most anticipated Gigantamax releases among fans.

For the first time among our Gigantamax Pokémon, it’ll be introduced during a Max Battle Day. This event will offer three hours of Six Star Max Battles, so get together with fellow trainers for a chance to defeat the formidable Gigantamax Snorlax.

Here are all the event details you need to know.

Gigantamax Snorlax Pokémon GO Max Battle Day

On this coming Saturday, April 19th, the Gigantamax Snorlax Max Battle Event will transpire from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM in your local time zone.

Throughout this period, you’ll find Gigantamax Snorlax showing up at every Power Spot! What’s more, there’s a chance for it to be a shimmering Shiny Pokémon right after a Max Battle!

Event bonuses

During the event hours the following bonuses will be active:

  • Max Particle collection limit increased to 1,600.
  • All Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles.
  • Power Spots will refresh more frequently.
  • 8× Max Particles from Power Spots.
  • Two additional Special Trades.

It’s great that additional Special Trades are available during Max Battle Days! Don’t miss out on this opportunity to gather any Dynamax or Gigantamax creatures you might require for your collection.

Then, there will be additional bonuses that start at 12:00 a.m. on April 19 and run until 5:00 p.m.

  • 2× Max Particles from exploring.
  • 1/4 adventuring distance to receive Max Particles.

Event Ticket and free Timed Research

Just a heads up, we’ll have tickets on sale for the Pokémon GO Gigantamax Snorlax Max Battle Day. Each ticket will cost $5 and here’s what you’ll get:

1. Access to the special event.
2. The chance to participate in the Gigantamax Snorlax Max Battle.
3. A unique experience that you won’t want to miss!

  • 1 Max Mushroom
  • 25,000 XP
  • 2× XP from Max Battles
  • Max Particle collection limit increased to 5,600

Increased collection limits suggest it could be beneficial for you, especially if you intend to engage in numerous Max Battles and have a team ready to join you in the same endeavor.

During this release, similar to previous ones, there’ll be a complimentary Timed Research event. Completing this will earn you candies, Max Particles, and an encounter with Dynamax Machop – a great match for Gigantamax Snorlax. Remember to save your Max Particle rewards as they won’t contribute to your daily collection limit.
