Argonaut Games has confirmed that the remaster of Croc Legend of the Gobbos will be releasing in April, which, in the game’s weird world, is 33rd March.
The 1997 platformer returns next month with updated visuals, new quality-of-life features like a modern control system, overhauled camera, and gameplay refinements, and the newly-added Crocipedia.
As the titular Croc, you’ll run, jump, climb, swim, and tail spin around to rescue the Gobbos from Baron Dante, vanquishing enemies, solving puzzles, and discovering hidden secrets along the way. You can take a look at the game in the latest trailer below.
In the Crocipedia, you’ll find a curated digital museum offering insights into the development of Croc Legend of the Gobbos, with long-lost assets like design documents, concept art, animation tests, pre-release music tracks, and exclusive interviews with the key talent behind the original game and the remaster.
Croc Legend of the Gobbos launches for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on 2nd April.
