ZARA’S SHOCK NEW ROMANCE EXPOSED

Zara McDermott is no longer in a relationship with Sam Thompson; instead, she went on a romantic outing with One Direction member Louis Tomlinson recently.

However, the fresh romance has arisen swiftly after the Love Island star parted ways with Sam in January, who recently confessed that he’s not yet prepared to embark on a new relationship as he is still healing from their break-up.

The star of Made In Chelsea has subtly criticized his ex by making a mysterious comment about their quick move-ons, suggesting on his podcast that many people seek validation in others and rush to find new partners because they feel the need to quickly fill the void and rediscover excitement.

When I engage in conversation with a fresh face, there’s this exhilarating sensation, like a spark igniting within me, but alas, I struggle to replicate it myself.

In their journey together, sources close to Zara and the 1D member suggest that Sam found it challenging to overcome the impact of his ex’s infidelity.

The fact that Zara had a romantic relationship with a music executive became known to the public about sixteen months after she began dating Sam. This revelation, along with its fallout and their eventual reconciliation, were extensively covered by the media in the reality TV show Made In Chelsea.

The 2019 fling with music boss Brahim Fouradi – who had previously worked for Simon Cowell as an artists and repertoire (A&R) director for Syco – happened when Zara was appearing on another TV show, X Factor, coincidentally the show which kicked off Louis’ career.

Zara was appearing on the Celebrity X Factor as part of a group comprised of ex-Love Island contestants on the one-off ITV series, eventually won by former TOWIE star Megan McKenna.

In September 2019, Sam, who is 32 years old, broke up with Zara due to an affair she had. The TV show Made in Chelsea followed the events that took place afterward, and eventually, they managed to reconcile.

The repercussions of the affair continued for years though with sources close to the couple telling TopMob at the time of their January split that Sam’s family never quite forgave Zara, despite their attempts to welcome her back into the fold.

Sam’s protective sister Louise, 34, was the most vocal in her disapproval of Zara and questioned her brother on why he took her back, but agreed, for his sake, to give her a second chance.

However, their relationship did not last long-term, and they ultimately decided to part ways in January, marking a little over five years since she had an affair.

It didn’t catch anyone off guard that the news was not a shock to those familiar with the reality stars, as they felt they did commendably given Zara’s infidelity and how long they managed to stay together.

‘Zara and Sam’s relationship just never felt like it was destined to last long’:

My buddy shared with TopMob that Zara and Sam’s bond didn’t seem like it had a future.

They didn’t manage to fully recover after Zara’s infidelity, and many other couples might not have endured as long as they did in such circumstances.

Zara needed to make amends, particularly towards Louise, who was far from pleased when Sam decided to take her back again.

‘But she managed to make it work and they had some great times together again, but it just felt like it was never going to be truly serious.

‘They were delaying the inevitable for several months as they had drifted apart and their lives had become very different.’

Discussing Jamie Laing’s infidelity during their time together on Made In Chelsea in October 2022, Zara expressed that when the incident occurred, she believed with certainty that their relationship was on the verge of ending. She felt they were barely holding on and it seemed inevitable that they would split up.

Some time ago, Zara publicly apologized profusely when it was revealed that she had been involved in an affair, approximately a year after she made her appearance on the program.

Taking to Instagram Stories, she wrote: ‘A huge mistake I made a year ago has recently come to light and I want to face this head on. I don’t condone being unfaithful and I made a huge mistake at a time in my life where I was hugely selfish and immature.

She continued: ‘I believe I have learnt so much from my mistake. I want to apologise to my Sam for everything I have put him through, for the pain, the embarrassment, the anger and the hurt. All I want to do is make this right and I think the least he deserves is me being honest with myself and all of you. I love you Sam. Forever x’.’

In November 2020, after receiving sincere apologies from Zara, Sam decided to reconcile. In January 2021, this reunited pair dared against COVID-19 travel restrictions by jetting off to the Maldives and eventually settled down at Sam’s residence in Chelsea.

Sam has previously explained why he took her back, stating: ‘I believe in forgiveness. I understand the context – and I think in any walk of life you can’t move forward unless you forgive.

‘Forgiveness allows you to heal. You can only heal when you forgive the other person and get over that.’

He added: ‘I would definitely say no matter what you should always try to forgive and you’ll feel better in yourself – it’s f***ing easier said than done but you’ve got to strive for that.

‘Those dear to me will understand that we’re all just human beings. Being human means we can’t achieve growth and improvement without stumbling on mistakes during our journey.

‘For that to be shown on TV, it almost humanises you and makes you more relatable.’
