One Contestant Arrives on a Horse to Impress The Golden Bachelor!
The Golden Bachelor is well underway with filming as this year’s luck ladies met bachelor Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden for the first time last Tuesday.
First impressions were captured last week as the cast of senior women starring in the inaugural series primped and pampered themselves for the big night.
One bold woman went so far as to arrive on-set at the Sydney mega-mansion on top of a horse in an effort to woo the 50-something infrastructure engineer to her side.
The woman with silver hair gracefully entered the room, leaving an indelible impression, as she donned her classic equestrian outfit and added a bold touch with a full application of makeup.
She mounted her well-mannered black pony gracefully, riding it towards the mansion where she would meet Barry after a leisurely stroll.
Her love rivals chose extravagant gowns to catch the eye of Barry, with one woman arriving in a sizzling red ensemble which clung to her figure.

Others opted for sparkling silver gowns while some went with a traditional black dress.
I donned a striking plum gown that made a bold statement, whereas another captivated the crowd in a vibrant pink maxi dress. (First person singular)
The team members circulated amongst the participants, guiding each individually to encounter Barry as the rest were kept in a tent, taking turns to showcase their talents.
Some staff members could be seen helping the women adjust their dresses.
It comes after one of Sydney’s historic waterfront gems was unveiled as the secret filming location of Channel Nine’s dating series The Golden Bachelor.
The magnificent Tresco mansion located in the posh Elizabeth Bay harbourside suburb was designed by colonial architect Thomas Rowe and built between 1867 and 1883, and it has been synonymous with sophistication ever since.
Originally Thomas’ private home, it later served as the official residence for Navy rear admirals for nearly 90 years before being sold into private hands in 1997 for $9million.
The elegant 1860s sandstone mansion, boasting tall ceilings and expansive rooms, is now bustling with action as movie-making gear has been subtly arranged across its expansive 3300 square meter property.

Although it’s uncertain if host Samantha Armytage has been seen at her home, locals have observed an unexpected appearance of filming gear instead.
This stunning piece of real estate has a significant past, with a high-profile transaction taking place in 2004: $11 million was transferred to Janette Waterhouse, wife of successful businessman David Waterhouse.
Today, it stands as a seven-bedroom, four-bathroom estate and serves as David’s registered address on ASIC documents.
Its breathtaking location, which is close to a variety of amenities and gorgeous oceanside views, makes it the perfect filming location for Channel Nine’s new series.
Last year, the property was listed on the market for a jaw-dropping price between $110million and $120million.
The Sydney City Council appeared unexpectedly taken aback by the development, prompting them to launch investigations, even though the project falls under the jurisdiction of private property laws.
A council spokesperson told The Daily Telegraph while filming on private grounds does not necessitate council consent, it does require a comprehensive filming management plan.
This includes detailing logistical specifics like crew size, temporary structures and potential impacts on the surrounding area.
Unlike The Bachelor and The Bachelorette which feature young men and women, the Golden Bachelor is targeted at a more mature audience eager to watch how those who have already experienced great love and loss are chasing companionship.
