Ricki Lake’s Hilarious Morning Routine: You Won’t Believe What She Loves Most!

Ricki Lake has shocked her fans by sharing a little too much information.

The Hairspray star, 56, revealed that there’s nothing she loves more to start her day off than a ‘good bowel movement.’

She enjoys starting her day with a smooth bowel movement that doesn’t require any wiping. It’s like a dream, and it makes her feel optimistic about the day ahead. This was one of the ten things she mentioned that she loves, along with other items on her list.

Ricki had fans roaring with laughter over the confession, as well as her loving to get ‘high’ on cannabis, which is legal in her native California.

‘I love getting high on cannabis with my husband Ross. Especially with my homegrown weed (Ricki Lake and Bake). Which all got destroyed in the Palisades fire.’

Fans jumped into the comments section of the post to commiserate with her first comment especially.

They also expressed their love for Lake and her ability to make them laugh.

@susiepearlx commented twice, writing, ‘I love Ross for being such a power packed love legend and for being there,’ and ‘Love you so much Ricki ❤️.’

“Are we similar to Ricki Lake because of our shared likes and dislikes?”

“I really appreciate this! I agree with you especially on points #1 and #2.”

When they cheered “Go Ricki! Go Ricki!” she obeyed, while @marlu4u jokingly suggested, “Sounds like a day of relaxation and enjoyment to me.

@bebecix23 said, “I really appreciate your honesty, Ricki. I love your candidness, especially when it comes to the topic of bowel movements and not needing to wipe – that’s hilarious! I feel the same way.”

@rayraycomfrtlintz commented, “It’s strange that no one is talking about the bowel movement joke. I found it funny, but it did seem a bit gross.

Elsewhere on the list, she shared that she loves all animals especially dogs and has a dream to start a dog sanctuary.

She also revealed that she loves avocados but only since about 10 years ago. Ricki shared that she had hundreds of avocados growing at her home in Malibu that she tragically lost in the Palisades fire in January.

When it came to her hate list, some of the usual suspects like traffic, packing for a trip and checking bags at the airport made the list alongside olives.

The tenth item on her list of dislikes was particularly relatable to the people who commented on the post.

‘I hate my perimenopause symptoms – it’s awful. At 56, I’m just starting to get hot flashes and the feelings that I want to die and/or kill someone.

She wrote, ‘Sleeplessness and confusion are no laughing matter, and on top of that, I’m still having my period! My body feels out of whack!’

@jlrydman wrote, ‘Same exact #10! Perimenopause did not help when you are trying to learn patience!’

@shaunashauna_ summed up her feelings by writing, ‘I think Ricki and I might be the same person.’

@lisajeanne_75 suggested, ‘Girl, let’s get high and talk gray pubic hairs, shall we?’

As a lifestyle expert, I can empathize with your sentiments. Navigating through menopause can indeed be challenging, especially when dealing with various symptoms while still experiencing a monthly period. It’s natural to feel frustrated that this phase of life seems unfair at times.

@taraelisew commented, ‘I hate olives and perimenopause too!! But just started HRT, and the brain fog is SO MUCH BETTER. And, weed for life!’

Saturday Night Live alum Cheri Oteri also commented, expressing her excitement that Ricki is living in New York City for the time being.

‘Okay this was fun and interesting! I hope you Ross and Dolly find a great new home in nyc and it will be included in you next posting of things you Love.’
