This esports camp lets participants learn from professionals such as M80 vice president of esports Don “Syyko” Mui and Mind Body Esports clinical director Edward Cleland as well.
“Providing the structure needed for the growth of generational talent is critical to developing esports in North America, and M80 is proud to be leading the charge,” M80 CEO and founder Marco Mereu said. “With over 300 universities offering esports scholarships in North America, there’s never been a more important time to provide a path to those opportunities, both in professional and collegiate play.”
Mereu then added that his organization’s partnership with IMG Academy offers a unique program that “leans on the esports leaders of today to inspire the pro players of tomorrow.”
Chris Ciaccio, serving as the Chief Commercial Officer at IMG Academy, expressed his views too. He stated that blending IMG Academy’s focus on comprehensive self-growth and M80’s in-match training empowers participants with essential life skills that surpass mere competitive gaming abilities.
“This partnership allows us to be at the forefront of esports growth, helping aspiring gamers develop, compete, and excel at the highest levels,” he added.
After completing registration, both the participant and their guardian will gain access to an online meeting with M80 team members. They will receive a summary of the program and have a chance to discuss the participant’s previous gaming experiences.
