I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream, the Acclaimed 1996 Point-and-Click Horror, Finally Lands on Xbox Next Week

Nightdive Studios has announced that acclaimed 1996 point-and-click horror, I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream, is coming to consoles next week. Based upon a short story by Harlan Ellison, the game also stars the author as the voice of ‘AM’, the game’s powerful, megalomaniacal “techno god”.

I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream has been a long time coming to consoles, too, having re-released for PC almost twelve years ago. It plunges players deep within the Earth’s centre, wherein you’ll play as five survivors who’ve been trapped in the bowels of the insane AM AI for 109 years.

Each survivor is subjected to their own psychodrama fuelled by AM’s hatred for the human race, culminating in a meta adventure-style quest that teases the prospect of freedom should they win. Whether they have the strength to overcome AM’s games and face their demons ultimately falls to you.

I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream is coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch on 27th March.
