Jenna Ortega Slams Marvel: ‘I Count That, Then I Move On!’
Jenna Ortega has claimed she is done with Marvel after her previous role in Iron Man 3 was turned into a wordless cameo.
The Wednesday star opened up about her tiny part in the 2013 movie after a reporter expressed their desire to see her in ‘the Marvel universe’.
In her chat with Entertainment Tonight, Jenna openly shared that she had previously appeared in a movie.
‘I did it once,’ she noted. ‘It was one of the first jobs I ever did.’
As a result, her scene didn’t unfold as planned because they removed all her lines during production: ‘They cut all my dialogue.’
‘I’m in Iron Man 3 for a quick second. I take up the frame. I have one leg, and I’m the vice president’s daughter.’

In the movie, Jenna appears briefly, being identified as the daughter of Vice President Rodriguez, played by Miguel Ferrer.
The VP just had a conversation with Iron Man over the phone and then goes to kiss his daughter on the forehead during a Christmas family function.
The camera pans down to reveal that his daughter is wheelchair bound as a result of a lost limb.
Jenna was interviewed alongside Paul Rudd, who has played Ant-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2015, appearing in five films so far.
The 55-year-old actor interjected to say: ‘Marvel is very good at like, kind of laying those bread crumbs. And so it might very well be that you come back.
‘That they are going to create something for you, cause they should be so lucky to have Jenna Ortega in their franchise.’
However, Jenna responded: ‘They even took my name away… I count that, then I move on.’
Jenna – who recently turned heads in a chic look at the SXSW Film Festival – stars alongside Paul in A24’s Death Of A Unicorn – which also stars Will Poulter, Tea Leoni and Richard E. Grant.

Ever since her appearance in Iron Man 3, she has gained significant popularity among viewers through her roles in You, Scream (2022), Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and Scream VI.
Her most recognizable role to date as Wednesday Addams in the hit Netflix series that returns for Season 2 later this year.
In an earlier conversation with Allure, Jenna shared insights on how playing Wednesday in the popular Netflix show impacted her own fashion choices.
‘I definitely have always loved wearing all black. I don’t know who doesn’t, it’s just such a classic go-to. I think everyone looks good in it.’
The star added that Wednesday Addams, ‘encouraged me to embrace that side of myself more.
‘I’ve always had immense respect for goth culture and music, so after becoming even more familiar and growing a deeper admiration for that sort of aesthetic, I do find myself casually weaving it into my day-to-day life more and more.’
