Shocking Moment Contestant Finds Leech in a Very Unexpected Place on Paddy’s Show!

On the reality show “Tempting Fate,” hosted by Paddy McGuinness, a shocking incident occurred when a participant discovered a leech in an unanticipated location during the survival game.

The television host, aged 51, disclosed that an anonymous participant, following a swim in a nearby river, discovered a parasite on his genital area.

Paddy, aged 51, shared with The Sun that there are some areas along the river where locals refer to them as ‘leech infested zones’. One of the contestants discovered a leech on his private part during the competition!

In a playful manner, he remarked that the experience was quite remarkable, saying: ‘It’s not particularly appealing, but it shows strength – if you can attach a leech to your private area, you’re doing great!’

‘But it makes my skin crawl. I don’t know how they coped with that.’

Despite their reputation as blood-suckers, leeches exhibit diverse physical characteristics across different species, with some growing up to eight inches in length.

The television program, offering a £300,000 reward, began its second season on the tropical island of Langkawi, Malaysia, on March 16th.

For those who missed season one, set in the South African wilderness, Tempting Fortune follows 12 strangers as they travel across a hostile landscape to be in with a chance of winning a share of a £300,000 prize pot.

Living on rations, the size of the prize could dwindle if contestants are tempted by luxuries like pop-up pubs and spas and give into their desires for any of the trappings of modern life. 

The allure carries a hefty price tag, as the season two preview suggests that a modest Chinese meal might set you back an astonishing £4,500 during the 18-day wilderness expedition.

The adventure show with a twist has a varied cast of Brits for its second season, including a personal trainer, a hostage negotiator and a vicar. 

‘David the vicar hasn’t told anyone else he’s a vicar, he’s playing the game,’ Paddy admitted. 

However, he’s found himself in a delicate situation as accepting a temptation, especially a clandestine one, equates to deceiving the others, in essence, lying by omission.

1. He doesn’t follow the rules set by the Church, which is quite unusual.
2. We have some girls who are fond of straightening their hair and using makeup.

‘How are they going to cope when they take that away?’ 

Paddy, most recognized as the host of Take Me Out, acknowledges that he might adjust to surviving on rations if he were participating in the game.

Nevertheless, there are some conveniences that he believes could entice him strongly, despite potentially causing friction among his competition colleagues.

He said: ‘The living on rations, I think I’d become used to that.

‘Creature comforts for me are things like good kitchen roll – I love the strong soaker-upper stuff.

‘I’m not bothered about having access to my phone or internet.

‘My Achilles heel is that when I’m wet through and wearing dirty clothes, they would only have to put a clean pair of underwear and socks out for me: “What’s that? £50k for pants and socks?’ I’ll take it!”‘

Tempting Fortune airs on Channel 4 at 9pm.
