Danny Jones’ Shocking Social Media Move After Apology Scandal
Danny Jones appears to have ended his period of not speaking publicly following the incident involving a ‘drunken kiss’ with Maura Higgins at the Brit Awards recently.
Despite his recent apology on Instagram, the McFly singer is still facing challenges as he isn’t entirely clear of the situation yet, involving his wife Georgia and their seven-year-old son, Cooper.
39-year-old Danny made news following his night out with 34-year-old Maura at Universal Music’s BRIT Awards afterparty, during which they were caught sharing an intimate embrace.
A person familiar with the musician confided to The Mirror that he is deeply ashamed and devastated by the predicament he has created for everyone involved.
“His affection for his family runs incredibly deep, and he yearns for his speech to bring closure to an emotionally turbulent period for all. To him, Georgia and his child are the world.
They noted that ‘He and Georgia are residing together, attempting to sort things out, but he still has some challenges ahead. For the time being, he will likely face consequences.’
TopMob have contacted Danny’s representatives for comment.
On Friday, Danny finally spoke up about the ‘drunken kiss’, offering an apology to Georgia for placing her in that unfortunate predicament.
Furthermore, the star has not only altered his social media presence significantly but also deleted comments from his latest uploads.
He took down responses associated with posts such as one about the BRITs warm-up performance, a video depicting him having fun with a drink at the awards party alongside his bandmate Tom Fletcher, and a picture featuring them along with KSI.
Georgia, like many others, has disabled comments on her posts, which includes her latest upload – a monochrome picture featuring their son Cooper.
On Friday, Danny posted an apology to Instagram, two weeks following the incident: “Hey all, I’ve been away for a bit, spending time with my loved ones. I hope you understand that I needed this break.
I’m truly sorry from the bottom of my heart for putting my wife and family in such a predicament. They mean the world to me, and I assure you, we will handle this matter privately and with care.
I really appreciate each and every one of you – your patience, comprehension, and backing have meant so much to me. I can’t wait to see you all again, take care until then, best regards, Danny.
On Wednesday, Danny followed up his awkward comeback to social media by resharing numerous birthday greetings from followers onto his Instagram.

As Danny spoke about his social media post, Maura immersed herself in her work during the unfolding commotion.
On Instagram, the Love Island celebrity offered a peek at her Oh Polly photoshoot backstage, where she looked smoking hot in a tiny, white western-style minidress and cowboy hat for the photo series.
