In a short while, you can expect the release of “Atomfall”. Having just had a chance to play Rebellion’s open-world survival game that takes place in an apocalyptic northern United Kingdom, we had a chat with Ben Fisher, the studio’s Head of Design, to get some insights about the upcoming title.
Instead of sticking to the traditional formula of the Sniper Elite series, Atomfall has often been likened to Fallout due to their shared characteristics. They are both first-person perspective games set in an open world, featuring mutants, roaming factions, underground vaults, and more.
Over drinks (even though it was 9:30 in the morning, I indulged post-interview – please don’t scrutinize), I engaged in a discussion with Fisher on various aspects of Atomfall, such as his thoughts on the persistent comparisons to Fallout, delivering unlimited player freedom, and much more.
Feel free to review the interview provided and take a look at our hands-on preview of Atomfall here. Additionally, you can find some gameplay footage as well. The game Atomfall is set to launch on March 27th (or March 24th for those who opt for the Digital Deluxe Edition), and it will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. On day one, you can also play Atomfall through Xbox Game Pass.
