In Pokémon GO, another Research Day is on the horizon! The Fuzzy Buddy Research Day brings adorable bear-themed creatures into play. Plus, you’ll find more delightful wild encounters, along with the customary thrilling increased chances of encountering shinies.
We’ve pulled together all the essential information regarding the upcoming event, ensuring you’re well-equipped to make the most of every opportunity it presents!
Pokémon GO Fuzzy Buddy Research Day
The Fuzzy Buddy Research Day is set for Saturday, March 29, 2025, running from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., local time. If you’re planning to join a Pokémon GO Safari Zone event on that day, please note that this event will occur concurrently, and it may temporarily halt the Safari Zone activities.
What Pokémon are on offer?
For today’s Research Event, we have four special Pokémons highlighted. These specific Pokémons will have boosted chances of appearing as shinies, offering an excellent opportunity to add their shiny versions to your collection.
These Pokémon are:
- Teddiursa
- Cubchoo
- Pancham
- Stufful
During the special event, more Pokemon will appear in the wild. Unlike others, their shiny versions won’t have increased chances. Yet, it’s possible for any of these Pokemon found in Pokemon GO to be shiny. Here are the Fuzzy Buddy Research Day Pokemon GO Wild Spawns:

6. Turtwig, Grotle, and Garchomp (from the Sinnoh region)

Research Day Paid Timed Research
On a day similar to a regular Research Event, Pokémon GO will offer a Fuzzy Buddy Research Day Ticket for purchase at $2. This ticket provides opportunities to encounter one or two of the four highlighted Pokémon within the game for a set period of time.
During the event, you’ll be expected to carry out On-site Investigations (Field Research Tasks). It might be beneficial for you to prepare some of these tasks ahead of time to give yourself an early advantage!
