Influencer Emilie Kiser reflects on ‘forgiving’ husband Brady after their three-year-old son’s ‘preventable’ fatal drowning

Emilie Kiser has suggested that her marriage to Brady has been struggling since the loss of their son last year.

After the heartbreaking loss of her three-year-old son, Trigg, in a drowning accident, a well-known blogger shared her experiences with grief and healing.

Their son was found unresponsive in their Arizona backyard pool on May 12, 2025. He passed away in the hospital six days afterward.

I was shocked to hear about the drowning, and it’s just heartbreaking. From what I understand, Brady was home alone with the child and, sadly, was reportedly in the process of placing a bet on a sporting event when it happened. It’s just a terrible situation all around.

In a recent video documenting her day, Kiser spoke movingly about coping with a difficult situation and explained that she had forgiven her husband.

She addressed a fan’s question in the comments of her TikTok video on Tuesday, explaining how she coped with the loss of her son and came to terms with her husband’s role in it.

‘You don’t heal from the loss, you learn to live with the grief,’ she wrote.

She explained that a lot of therapy, done consistently, helped her realize everyone deserves love, understanding, and forgiveness.

‘And not giving a crap about other people’s opinions, which therapy helps with.’

Reports indicated that Tom Brady might be charged with a serious crime – specifically, a felony related to child abuse.

Police in Chandler said video shows the child, Trigg, was left alone in the backyard for more than nine minutes.

As a lifestyle expert, I always say things can change quickly, and that definitely proved true in this case. After a thorough review, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office decided not to pursue charges against the individual in question. They determined that, based on the evidence, a conviction was highly unlikely. It just goes to show you, things aren’t always as they seem!

After the loss of her son Trigg, Kiser stepped away from social media for around three months. She’s now begun sharing her experiences with grief and the process of healing, and is also raising her one-year-old son, Teddy, with Tom Brady.

Okay, so in late December 2025, she finally talked about how losing Trigg has been messing with things between her and Brady. It was so raw and honest – she really opened up about how much it’s impacted them, and honestly, it broke my heart to hear it. I’ve been dying for any update on them, and this was… a lot. It just feels so real, you know?

Honestly, everyone’s always asking if my family gets mad at Brady, and it just breaks my heart! Like, are you kidding? We adore him. Seriously, so much. He’s practically family to us, and we all just love him to pieces!

She added that their consistent love for both him and Trigg has really brought the family closer together.

She also shared details about the difficult Christmas she experienced, the first one after losing their son.

In a TikTok video showing her getting ready with her nine-month-old son, Teddy, she explained that she wasn’t trying to pretend things were normal during the holidays. She shared the video with her 5.1 million followers.

She explained in the video that she didn’t want to pretend things were normal for Christmas, because they weren’t.

She admitted it was a really difficult Christmas for them, explaining she wanted to be honest about how they felt.

A few days later, she thanked fans for supportive messages as she shared another update.

I’m incredibly thankful for my family, especially this year. We decided not to celebrate Christmas at home because we didn’t want to do it without Trigg.

She explained that her family worked hard to make sure Teddy still felt loved and celebrated, even during a difficult time.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always hearing about the desire for meaningful connections, especially during the holidays. This year, when I spent time with my extended family, we really prioritized quality time. It wasn’t about recreating a ‘normal’ Christmas with all the usual hustle and bustle; we simply wanted to make lasting memories together, and that’s exactly what we achieved.

At the time, it was rumored that Emilie and her husband Brady had separated following the tragedy.

According to a source at Us Weekly, the couple has been actively trying to improve their relationship for the past few months.

According to a source, the family is coping with an unimaginable tragedy and is focused on supporting each other.

They emphasized how important this holiday season is for creating a sense of normalcy for their family. They also shared that they are continuing to prioritize their privacy as they focus on being the best parents possible to Teddy.

Last month, Kiser acknowledged the drowning could have been avoided and strongly urged parents to prioritize pool safety.

The influencer wrote that anyone familiar with his story would agree it could have been avoided.

She advised parents to protect their children by taking simple safety steps, like putting up a fence around pools, signing kids up for swimming lessons, and always keeping a close watch on them when they’re near any water.
