On Wednesday, Jack Nicholson’s son, Ray, playfully reenacted his father’s iconic “Here’s Johnny!” scene from The Shining during a humorous exchange with fans upon departing Jimmy Kimmel’s show.

In a casual, straightforward manner: The 33-year-old actor playfully greeted some fans by peeking over a barricade, referencing Jack’s frightening door scene from the 1980 movie.

In the movie, the protagonist, Jack Torrance, played by Jack Nicholson, gradually slips into insanity. The story reaches its climax as he traps his wife, Wendy, portrayed by Shelley Duvall, in a bathroom.

1. He smashes open the door with an axe, revealing his threatening face as he yells: “And here comes Johnny!”

2. Using an axe, he forces open the door, showing himself with a chilling grin and shouting: “Now it’s my turn, Johnny!”

3. He demolishes the door with an axe, exposing his intimidating visage while yelling: “It’s Johnny’s time now!”

4. With a menacing scream of “Here’s Johnny!”, he hacks down the door using an axe and bursts through it.

5. Brandishing an axe, our protagonist crashes through the door, revealing his malevolent face with a chilling yell: “It’s time for Johnny!”

6. With an ominous cry of “Here’s Johnny!”, he breaks down the door using an axe and emerges with a menacing expression.

The scene was an homage to the debut of The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, a moment that has become iconic in cinematic history.

Jack exuded a sharp, sophisticated appearance in head-to-toe black attire as he departed the television studios following his appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to discuss his newest ventures, Borderline and Novocaine, in the heart of Hollywood.

Ray is currently dating Victoria’s Secret model Sara Sampaio.

In July 2023, Ray and Sara started a romantic relationship for the first time, and they made their public debut on the red carpet at the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

Ray was born as a result of Ray’s father’s romantic involvement with Rebecca Broussard, who he dated between 1989 and 1994. Jack is the father of six kids, each from a separate relationship with five different women.

Following in the footsteps of his famous dad, Ray began an acting career in the mid-2000s.

In 2018, he appeared in a minor role alongside Jared Leto in the film The Outsider, followed by a similarly minor role in 2020’s Promising Young Woman, starring Carey Mulligan.

Last month, Jack unexpectedly showed up during the gala event for Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary special on a Saturday night.

The seldom-spotted 87-year-old actor was often times seen in the company of his 34-year-old daughter, Lorraine, a shared child with his former partner Rebecca Broussard.

In the crowd, Jack announced Adam Sandler, who delivered an exclusive tribute to the long-running sketch comedy show, celebrating its 50 years on television.

In a stylish outfit featuring a black beret bearing the New York Yankees emblem and purple-tinted sunglasses, Nicholson addressed the crowd, introducing ‘Adam Sandler.’

For the event, the secluded film industry legend grew a rugged beard and mingled comfortably with other prominent stars.

Seated behind him in the audience were Robert De Niro and partner Tiffany Chen.

Additionally, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were situated nearby, unexpectedly joining the scene during Lively’s current legal disagreement with her It Ends With Us co-star, Justin Baldoni.

‘Yeah, baby! Let’s hear it for Jack, baby,’ Sandler shouted before beginning his song. 

‘Jack made it out tonight. Love you, brother,’ he added.

Sandler and Nicholson notably starred together in the 2003 movie Anger Management. 

In addition to Lorraine, Nicholson shares son Ray, 33 on February 20, with Broussard. 

Additionally, he is a father to Jennifer (61 years old), whom he has with Sandra Knight; Caleb (54), born from his relationship with Susan Anspach; Honey (44) from Winnie Hollman; and Tessa (31) with Jennine Gourin.

In a 2023 Newsweek article, it was mentioned that Tessa is not closely associated with The Shining actor, and she described herself in the piece as “the product of an actor’s brief romantic encounter with a young waitress at the time.
