I Felt Very Seen

Lady Gaga revealed her fiancé Michael Polansky was a key reason why she decided to make new music.

38-year-old music sensation expressed that the entrepreneur, aged 41, understood her in a recent conversation on iHeartRadio’s Las Culturistas podcast, which was published on Wednesday.

Lady Gaga, fresh from the release of her latest album titled “Mayhem,” shared with interviewers Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers that during her relationship with Polansky in 2020, she had paused her music-making endeavors.

Yet, upon catching sight of her in the studio crafting fresh melodies, he expressed that she had seldom appeared ‘more joyful’ to him.

The singer shared that they are grateful for their partner’s support during their early years together. When they started creating music, their partner expressed how joyful it seemed to make them, saying something like, “I’ve never seen you happier than when you’re making music.

I was deeply understood by that experience, and I believe what resonates with me so strongly is because, being raised under public scrutiny, as you’re aware, there are aspects of oneself that others appreciate, yet there remain hidden facets unknown to them.

She said, “It’s as if they don’t realize that there might be a version of you who is deeply engrossed in contemplation or work at home, only observing the public you.

It’s truly heartwarming when someone recognizes and appreciates the unique talents or qualities that I express in my solitary pursuits – those aspects that make me distinct. Indeed, it seems those hidden facets are a reflection of my own personal gift, the things the world often overlooks.

Mayhem marks Gaga’s first original full-length pop album since 2020’s Chromatica.

In another part of the conversation, she mentioned feeling apprehensive about addressing mental health issues, having just revealed her personal struggle with psychosis.

She expressed apprehension about discussing mental health matters at this point in her life, mainly because she’s spoken extensively about these issues for a long time and has such a deep passion for mental health awareness and support. However, she also acknowledged her personal concerns about being the constant focus of conversations related to mental health.

Although I prefer not to be characterized by that difficult period in my life, I must admit that enduring personal turmoil and mental struggles was a unique kind of upheaval. I hope that those who are going through similar hardships can listen to this record and understand that there is tranquility waiting for them at the end. My experience shows that things can indeed get better, as they did for me.

She also opened up about being seen as ‘chaotic.’

In her words, ‘As a woman, people often perceive me as disorderly. There’s a part of me that agrees with this notion, yet another part wonders, what exactly do you imply by this? It seems to suggest I’m disorganized.’

You seem disorganized, and I’m having trouble understanding how best to approach you. I’m not sure what perspective I should take when considering you, but I want my followers to understand that your messiness isn’t a concern for them; it’s up to each individual to be their authentic selves. That aspect of you was part of this project, and I felt empowered as a female producer, expressing myself freely and spontaneously in the way that I heard it.

This month, she shared insights into her battles with mental health, which significantly impacted her routine during the promotion of her newest album titled “Mayhem”.

Five years back, the Grammy-winning individual opened up on The New York Times podcast The Interview regarding a challenging period in their life when they experienced a psychotic episode.

For some time,” Lady Gaga confessed, “my connection with the real world wasn’t as strong as it should have been.” This situation had a significant impact on her life, making it less vibrant. However, following many challenging years of dedicated effort, she managed to reclaim her footing and return to a healthier state.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: In my experience, stepping into the diverse personas I’ve crafted as Lady Gaga has at times blurred the lines between fiction and reality for me. It’s an intriguing exploration of identity that comes with the territory of being an artist.

The actress who played “The Joker: Folie à Deux” shared that she needed to find a method to merge completely with my stage character, similar to embodying Lady Gaga’s strong presence in daily life, but in a way that feels empowered rather than imitative. She also mentioned struggling to understand and reconcile two seemingly contradictory aspects of the process.

Besides excelling at her job, her bond with Michael continues to grow stronger.

In addition to her successful career, her connection with Michael is blossoming more and more.

Or:
Beyond her thriving professional life, her relationship with Michael has been progressing admirably.

‘I just love my fiancé so much,’ she gushed about him to People last year.

He’s more than just a friend; he’s my confidant. We’re like two peas in a pod, and whenever we’re together, it feels like the world transforms around us.

Gaga has also expressed her excitement about starting a family with her partner.

She expressed to BuzzFeed Canada that she’s overjoyed to be in a loving relationship and eager for the prospect of building a family, when inquired about her aspirations for the next 15 years.

‘So that’s definitely number one.’

Michael completed his graduation from Harvard University in the year 2006 and currently manages Sean Parker, the co-founder of Napster, at his firm, Parker Group.

Back in 2020, whispers of a blossoming relationship between us started circulating after our shared New Year’s Eve smooch at a lively gathering in the vibrant city of Las Vegas.

They went Instagram official at the 2020 Super Bowl in Miami.

In July 2024, it was announced that Gaga had become engaged to French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal during the Paris Olympics.
