CAMPERLAB Opens Paris Store Designed by Crosby Studios

Guided by Finnish designer Achilles Ion Gabriel, CAMPERLAB has inaugurated its first independent store specifically focusing on the Camper label’s line of unisex footwear, clothing, and accessories. This venue, fashioned by Crosby Studios, adopts elements from their forward-thinking design philosophy to creatively display CAMPERLAB’s items in an innovative manner.

15 rue Debelleyme in Le Marais is where you’ll find the store, a physical manifestation of Crosby Studios’ “Transformism” ideology. This concept revolves around taking ordinary materials and objects, then changing them to alter the way we perceive space. The exterior design piques interest with broken concrete walls, giving glimpses of what lies within. Inside the store, Crosby Studios incorporates CAMPERLABS fixtures into similar concrete setups, adding a creative spin to the display arrangements. The overall aesthetic leans heavily on Crosby Studios’ distinctive style, which features cool greyscale surfaces and shiny chrome accents.

Established by Harry Nuriev, Crosby Studios is recognized for its captivating installations, whimsical design ideas, and stylish interior designs. Operating between New York City and Paris, this firm has shared its design wisdom in various recent projects such as the denim label Frame’s store in Paris and Alexander Wang’s shop in Soho.

Over the past 5 years, Achilles Ion Gabriel has significantly grown and refined CAMPERLAB’s product lines while maintaining a unique blend of functionality and avant-garde aesthetics. In conjunction with the opening of a new store, the company has also revealed its revamped website created in partnership with Giga Design Studio. This self-standing platform seeks to solidify CAMPERLAB as a distinct entity by mirroring the Brutalist vibe of the physical store in its digital presence.
