First Stand 2025: TES vs TL for the year’s first East-West matchup
JackeyLove vs Yeon. Creme vs APA. Top Esports vs Team Liquid. East vs West in 2025.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m pumped up about the historic East versus West showdown this year! Top Esports and Team Liquid are set to lock horns in League of Legends First Stand 2025! Here’s the lowdown on the TES vs TL match in FST 2025.
TES vs TL in FST 2025
Top Esports suffered a surprising 0-2 defeat at the hands of Hanwha Life Esports, which has put them in a challenging position, having started their tournament with a loss. To maintain their place in the playoff round and boost their team spirit, it’s crucial for Top Esports to secure a victory moving forward.
Regarding morale, Team Liquid is thriving from their victory over Karmine Corp on the first day of FST 2025. The competition between the League of Legends European Championship (LEC) and the League of Legends Tournament Association (LTA, formerly LCS) has been ongoing for quite some time. This triumph against KC is likely boosting team camaraderie, and being ahead by one game gives them a bit of relaxation.
Game 1
Initially, Top Esports secured the first kill with Braum’s powerful level one ability. However, a strategic level two ambush by UmTi cancelled out their early advantage.
Initially, Team Liquid demonstrated impressive performance, and the match remained fairly balanced. However, they also acquired the Feat of Warfare! Notably, the solo laners from TES started to excel, gradually building a significant advantage during the laning stage.
As a gamer, I found myself maintaining a slim advantage against my opponents thanks to smart objective control and strategic pickups. However, they didn’t let the gap widen too much; they kept pushing back, refusing to let me pull too far ahead. It seemed like we were evenly matched until a disastrous fight occurred – one that stemmed from our team attempting to challenge for a Drake. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there.
In a nutshell, it seemed like TES’s acquisition of Ruinous Atakhan would seal TL’s fate, but the LTA representatives recaptured some territory with their kill streak. However, Top Esports dismantled Team Liquid during a confrontation, effectively ending the game.
Game 2
In the opening stages of game 2, it was Creme who shone brightest. He managed to secure a lone victory against APA within just four minutes, and followed this up with another kill shortly thereafter. Unfortunately for APA, they found themselves repeatedly pushed around, with Kanavi establishing a base in mid-lane, which proved particularly problematic.
In an attempt to halt Top Esports’ momentum, Team Liquid managed some kills and picks of their own, but it was Top Esports who consistently grabbed objectives across the map. The initial kills by Top Esports and swift captures of the Epic Monsters earned them Achievements of Power early on.
In the jungle of Pantheon, Kanavi’s performance alongside Grand Starfall was divine during the laning phase, effectively thwarting every move by TL. Conversely, Impact’s K’Sante amassed gold on their team, but it ultimately didn’t matter because APA’s Hwei and Yeon’s Kalista failed to capitalize on this advantage, staying ineffective throughout the game.
In simpler terms, Top Esports continually gained control over various objectives and expanded their advantage, which eventually led to them capturing the Baron Nashor, a decisive moment that sealed the victory.
Top Esports pick up the win against Team Liquid, 2-0.
