Dan Walker and Nadiya Bychkova’s Secret Love Affair: Strictly Stars Obsessed!

The close bond between Dan Walker and Nadiya Bychkova on Strictly Come Dancing is generating much conversation, as it appears that the program’s stars are deeply invested in their enduring friendship.

In 2021, the Channel 5 News host, aged 47, participated in the BBC’s competition alongside Nadiya, who was 35 at the time. The duo managed to advance all the way to the quarterfinals by skillfully dancing together.

Over three years after the TV contest, Dan continues to maintain a close friendship with the Ukrainian dancer, frequently spending time together and often posting photos of their activities on Instagram. This is noticeably different from his personal life, as he keeps his relationship with his wife of 23 years, Sarah, very private.

He encountered the mother of his three kids at the University of Sheffield and has shared that she prefers to avoid the spotlight. In 2021, it was disclosed that ‘She doesn’t care for social media. It’s straightforward – she is far more intelligent than I am.’

However, the bond between Dan and Nadiya extends far beyond their social media presence, as they often enjoy extravagant dinners together and grace various red-carpet functions hand in hand.

This month, I had the pleasure of accompanying the Strictly star on her tour, engaging in a heartfelt conversation with the lovely mother-of-one on stage during our joint event, “An Evening with Nadiya,” at both the Sheffield and Barnsley shows. It was an enriching experience that I’m thrilled to have been part of!

As a die-hard fan, I couldn’t help but feel my heart race when I discovered that they graced the cover of the Yorkshire Post Magazine alongside each other. The suave Dan donned a sleek tuxedo, while Nadiya turned heads in a captivating red gown that accentuated her figure beautifully. It was an unforgettable moment for their fans and an iconic image to cherish!

The photo, arranged for advertising Nadiya’s UK performances, showcases the previous Strictly duo affectionately looking at one another while seated near a piano.

After snapping shots of us sharing a delightful lunch in London just recently, insiders connected with Strictly have spilled the beans to TopMob about the cast’s heartfelt admiration for our budding camaraderie. In my own words, I can say we’ve truly grown fond of each other.

An insider said: ‘Dan and Nadiya’s friendship has become the talk of the Strictly cast.

‘They performed on Strictly together three years ago but are spending more time together than ever.

‘The majority of the actors in the show maintain contact with their co-stars and significant others from the same series. However, Dan and Nadiya go beyond simple friendship; they have deepened their bond by actively supporting each other’s career growth.’

‘While many cast members stay connected with their colleagues and partners from the show, Dan and Nadiya take their relationship a step further by actively fostering each other’s careers.’

Last week, Dan and Nadiya were observed having a lengthy meal at a Vietnamese eatery situated in London.

A source told The Sun that their friendship is ‘still going from strength to strength.’

It emerged last month that they’ve been using the lobster emoji on Instagram as a secret method of communicating with one another.

The reference harks back to their dance routine on Strictly, which was set to The B-52’s famous song Rock Lobster, and it’s something that regularly appears on their individual social media profiles.

In addition, Dan sometimes calls Nadia “The Yorkshire Pub Maid” as a nod to a comedy sketch they created for Instagram, in which the dancer acts as if she’s serving drinks behind a pub counter.

Previously, Dan, a former BBC Breakfast host and devoted husband to his long-time sweetheart Sarah, graciously welcomed Nadiya to the Channel 5 News studio. Together, they share the joy of raising three children.

Gathered around a shared desk, Dan conducted an engaging conversation with Nadiya, discussing various aspects of her life such as her experiences on Strictly, moving away from home at ten, and her journey to fulfilling her dance aspirations.

When Dan inquired about her favorite Strictly partner of all time, she responded by gesturing towards the wall where pictures of them from their 2021 performances were displayed.

In December, Dan and Nadiya indulged in an exquisite meal prepared by renowned culinary artist, John Williams, at The Ritz London.

Dan asserted on Instagram that the gathering was for Nadiya’s birthday, although it’s known that her birthday falls in August.

Nadiya wore a floor-length bejewelled gown for their intimate meal. 

Approximately a month prior, in November, they both were present at the Radio Times Cover Party. At that event, Dan lent a helping hand to Nadiya by holding her bags for her.

In a post on Instagram, Dan mentioned that he had safely kept the possessions of two-time World Champion Nadiya Bychkova during his stay at Claridge’s in London.

Nadiya replied: ‘Thanks partner! You are THE BEST’ followed by two lobster emojis. 

In a message adorned with two lobster emojis, she conveyed her admiration for Dan by saying “I’m so proud of you, partner! Congratulations on winning the Presenter of the Year Award at the broadcasting ceremony held in November.

After Nadiya was dismissed prematurely from the Strictly competition, Dan delivered a blow in response, as it was his celebrity partner, Olympic swimmer Tom Dean, who was the initial contestant to be eliminated from the program.

In September, he expressed that the recent events on Strictly seemed somewhat confusing. Tom Dean’s exit is likely to be remembered as one of the EARLY surprising departures.

Since her breakup with Kai Widdrington, the Ukrainian dancer has remained unattached for a year now, as they parted ways in July of last year.

It became known that Nadiya and Kai were in a romantic relationship, not long after her separation from her former fiance, Matija Škarabot, a Slovenian football player, who happens to be the father of their seven-year-old child.

Since 2001, Dan has been happily married to his wife Sarah, whom he doesn’t often feature on his Instagram, having first crossed paths with her during their time at university together.

She had recently been spotted enthusiastically encouraging Dan as he danced to one of her preferred Billy Joel tunes, ‘She’s Always a Woman,’ in the Strictly studio audience.
