Issey Miyake is expanding its footwear line, recently releasing the Camp Karst Finch after collaborations like the HOMME PLISSÉ CIOCCOLATO and Camper Peu Form. Taking inspiration from the vibrant colors of finch birds, this new design updates the classic Mary Jane shoe with modern, technical materials and a fresh color palette, creating a more sporty and dynamic look.
Satoshi Kondo, ISSEY MIYAKE’s designer, moved away from the comfortable, slipper-like feel of the first Peu Form design. This new iteration focuses on dramatically shaped soles. The shoe’s upper is made from a specially engineered PET fabric, with a recycled OrthoLite® insole, ReXarge® cushioning, and durable Vibram rubber soles. The unique sole design takes inspiration from the original Camper Karst shoe, named after the rocky formations known as karst topography.
The Issey Miyake and Camper collaboration, the Karst Finch, is available in both classic neutral colors – black and beige – and bolder combinations of turquoise, neon green, and yellow. To let you customize the style, each pair of shoes includes two sets of socks.
