Director Paul Feig Shuts Down Tension Rumors Between Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick!
In an attempt to dispel rumors, director Paul Feig dismissed any suggestion of strife between actors Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick during the SXSW Film Festival.
At X, a YouTube personality asserted that Lively was afraid to stroll the red carpet alongside Kendrick at the Another Simple Favor premiere on Friday. However, director Feig swiftly and clearly denied the claim, saying plainly, “Actually, you’re mistaken.
In an interview with People, the DGA Award winner, 62, said making the film ‘was too much fun.’
He expressed that the first project he worked on was exceptional for him. The memory of it lingered, almost as if he kept thinking to himself, “Wow, I truly enjoy collaborating with both of them.
At the premiere, both actresses walked the red carpet separately, as is the usual practice.
When queried about potentially collaborating with Kendrick, aged 39, once more, Lively, aged 37, characterized her fellow actor as ‘simply outstanding’.
Yet, when Entertainment Tonight posed a similar question to Kendrick, she declined to participate in any drama stemming from the lawsuits between Lively and her It Ends With Us collaborator and director Justin Baldoni. Instead, she responded vaguely with “Oh, you know…” and proceeded to snap a selfie with a fan.
During an interview on the red carpet with Variety, Kendrick pretended to be unaware of the controversy by asking, “What’s going on? What happened?” She then revealed, “I’ve taken ayahuasca, and the last year of my life feels like it’s disappeared.
Turning to the backdrop said, ‘But I hear the movie is amazing.’
Kendrick was praised for her diplomacy by a follower on social media.
A spectator commented, expressing that the individual’s gravity arises not from engagement in disputes, but rather from the brilliance of their unique abilities, as showcased in this premiere photograph.
People are suggesting that the upcoming movie on Amazon’s streaming platform, set to premiere on May 1st, might struggle with viewer attraction because of the contentious nature of the ongoing legal disputes.
One admirer stated, “You possess a high level of professionalism and aren’t shy about expressing truths, even when they’re not directly discussed.” They went on to express their eagerness for the upcoming movie, but also wanted to make clear that without you, they wouldn’t be looking forward to it.
The dark comedy received a warm welcome, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
After the movie screening, Lively expressed that playing her character Emily was her most cherished role she’s had the privilege of portraying.
Another Simple Favor reunites Emily and Kendrick’s Stephanie Smothers from the hit 2018 film.
This time, they are traveling to Italy for Emily’s wedding to a wealthy Italian businessman.
Somehow, amidst all the wedding preparations, murder and betrayal are also on the ‘to do’ list.
