Pierce Brosnan says Amazon’s next James Bond should be British

After Amazon assumed creative leadership over the James Bond series, Pierce Brosnan advocated that the role of 007 should still be portrayed by actors from Britain.

The James Bond movie franchise, which started as far back as 1962 with Sean Connery in Dr. No, has primarily featured English actors. However, there are two exceptions: George Lazenby from Australia and Pierce Brosnan, who hails from Ireland.

In the previous year, Brosnan expressed his opinion that Aaron Taylor-Johnson could excel as the future Bond, whereas Daniel Craig indicated he doesn’t have strong feelings about who will take over the role.

Recently, an Amazon spokesperson stated that they haven’t chosen a specific theme for the upcoming James Bond film, and no draft of the script currently exists. Moreover, they emphasized that artificial intelligence will not be employed to write James Bond scripts anytime in the near future.

The Bond films can be bought physically or digitally from various retailers.
