On the weekend, Katie Holmes was noticed enjoying a seldom-occurring outing in New York City with her child, Suri Cruise.

On a Saturday, the actress from Dawson’s Creek, aged 46, was seen out and about alongside her 18-year-old daughter who had returned home during her university holiday.

She seemed lively and joyful as she took a walk with her daughter, who was a part of her life for the five years she was married to Tom Cruise from 2006 to 2012.

In late January, the mother and daughter pair were seen together in the city, with Suri joining Holmes for her last show on Broadway in Our Town, demonstrating her encouragement.

Following their reunion, the actress ventured out for a stroll with her daughter, wrapping themselves snugly in an extended, double-layered coat.

When they were back together, the actress took a walk with her daughter, both of them wearing long, double-breasted coats to stay warm.

She paired the chic outerwear with red pants and mocha brown suede boots to match.

She walked around with a leather bag featuring golden accents slung over her arm, holding her phone in one hand while keeping the other tucked inside her coat pocket for warmth.

The Batman Begins alum left her brown hair down and sported little to no makeup for a natural look.

She threw on a pair of ombré-tinted, oversize sunglasses to complete her effortlessly stylish look.

By her side, Suri – a student at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – opted for a large denim jacket as an additional layer over a dark denim jumpsuit.

She put on a pair of light-brown motorcycle boots and folded her arms to stay warm as they went for a stroll.

Instead, she swiftly tied up her rich, dark locks into a simple ponytail, embracing her genuine charm without the use of cosmetics.

This past season, the “nepo baby” frequently attended her mother’s shows, even participating alongside the cast and team during their production of “Our Town” for Holmes’ 46th birthday celebration in December.

The mother-daughter duo have been estranged from Cruise, Holmes’ ex-husband and Suri’s father. 

In April 2005, Holmes began a relationship with the actor, and just seven weeks later, he proposed marriage to her after their first meeting.

The following year, she gave birth to Suri on the anniversary of her first date with Cruise. 

Later that same year, Holmes and Cruise tied the knot in Italy. 

Over the course of their relationship, Holmes adopted Scientology – Katie’s husband’s faith. However, as time went by, this shared interest seems to have developed into a point of disagreement for them.

In 2012, after less than six years of marriage, Holmes filed for divorce. 

According to confidants, it was alleged that Holmes was apprehensive about Holmes potentially taking their child away, which is said to have been a significant factor contributing to their separation, and her leaving the Church of Scientology was one such point of contention between them.

Lately, it’s been disclosed to DailyMail.com that some members of Scientology once lived with Cruise and Holmes to serve him, a situation that reportedly strained their marriage.

In the 2013 court case, Tom Cruise disclosed during his testimony that his daughter Suri no longer actively participates in Scientology.

Previously, it was reported that the actor from Top Gun: Maverick appears to have no involvement in his daughter’s life, a situation possibly linked to Scientology, as members are advised against engaging with individuals who have renounced the Church of Scientology.
