Netflix has just dropped 16 seasons of classic British mysteries dubbed “the best ever”

Good news for mystery lovers in the UK! Netflix has added all seasons of both the Poirot and Miss Marple series, based on the classic novels by Agatha Christie, so you can now stream the complete collections.

Originally broadcast from 1989 to 2013, Agatha Christie’s Poirot featured David Suchet in the role of the famous detective Hercule Poirot.

Every episode takes its story from a different mystery featuring the famous Belgian detective. You can now watch all thirteen seasons of the show – the original ten, plus the three most recent ones that used to be on Netflix.

The streaming service also features Agatha Christie’s Marple, a six-season show about the author’s famous amateur detective who solves mysteries in the peaceful village of St. Mary Mead.

Geraldine McEwan played the main character during the first three seasons of the show. Julia McKenzie then took on the role and continued playing it for the rest of the series.

Unlike the Poirot series, the Marple adaptations have made changes to Agatha Christie’s original stories, most notably by adding Miss Marple to mysteries where she didn’t appear in the books.

Fans on IMDb are calling this adaptation one of the best versions of Christie’s work ever made. One viewer raved, “This is a truly excellent TV adaptation – easily worth a 10-star rating! It has everything you could want, so definitely give it a try.”

Netflix is adding more Agatha Christie stories after recently releasing a three-part series based on her 1929 novel, The Seven Dials Mystery.

Written by Chris Chibnall, the showrunner of Doctor Who, this drama features Mia McKenna-Bruce (known for How To Have Sex) as Lady Eileen ‘Bundle’ Brent. When her friend and love interest, Gerry Wade (played by Corey Mylchreest), seemingly takes his own life on her property, Eileen sets out to uncover the truth behind his death.

While investigating, she discovers a secret group in London called the Seven Dials, who may be connected to both the death of Gerry and the death of Eileen’s father, portrayed by Iain Glen from Game of Thrones.

Helena Bonham Carter plays Eileen’s withdrawn mother, Lady Caterham, while Martin Freeman appears as Superintendent Battle, and Edward Bluemel plays her friend, Jimmy Thesiger.

You can now watch Agatha Christie’s Poirot, Miss Marple, and Seven Dials on Netflix in the UK.

The latest issue of Living Legends magazine is now available, and it’s a special tribute to Dolly Parton! You can find ‘Dolly at 80’ in shops that sell magazines or order it online for only £8.99.
