Linda Lusardi warns OnlyFans stars: X-rated content will haunt you forever
The cautionary statement issued by Linda Lusardi regarding the potential consequences of creating adult content on OnlyFans has reemerged, as she now expresses embarrassment when reflecting upon her modeling career for Page Three.
In the ’80s and ’90s, a former glamour model, now 66, was widely recognized in Britain as one of the prominent Page Three models. She started her topless modeling career at the tender age of 18, and it continued for the following 12 years.
As a die-hard fan, I’ve always admired her talent and grace. Yet, when she transitioned into acting and TV presenting, what took me aback this week was her confession about no longer endorsing the ‘disgraceful’ tactics of tabloids. Now, she openly states that it was a mistake to expose herself for men’s amusement, a realization that resonates deeply with me as her devoted fan.
Linda has made this suggestion before, that she’s adopted a new perspective about sharing explicit content, following her earlier remarks expressing apprehension towards the females earning substantial income from the subscription platform OnlyFans.
Over the last several years, the adult content platform has experienced a significant increase in popularity. Notable contributors earn substantial sums from their provocative content, while a number of famous figures have also joined, capitalizing on their earnings.
However, in the year 2021, Linda expressed her feelings about the contentious platform, stating that it felt odd to her and was not a tool she would ever utilize. She further remarked that it seems entirely out of sync with contemporary society.

She emphatically stated that stars would continue to be troubled throughout their lifetimes due to the nature of their work, as it might create complications if they wished to have children or enter into relationships. This was largely due to a concern that a creator’s partner could have relatives who were former subscribers, potentially leading to awkward or challenging situations.
Speaking candidly about OnlyFans to The Sun, she admitted: “I find it uncomfortable and wouldn’t consider it. I understand that many are earning substantial sums, but the concept doesn’t sit right with me.
It’s not just for the fans, right? Your actions could be captured and shared, remaining online potentially forever. Imagine if your life takes a different turn – what if those past moments come back to haunt you?
As a lifestyle expert, I often ponder over this thought: Women might not always consider that their children could one day witness them in a situation they may later regret. This could potentially impact relationships in the future, even if one isn’t currently involved. Imagine meeting someone wonderful, only to discover they have acquaintances or family members who may have had past encounters with you. It can feel a bit sneaky and unfair.
The celebrity who gained fame through soap operas admitted that her comments might appear as hypocrisy considering her origin of stardom. However, she also emphasized the danger of fans potentially developing an unhealthy obsession.
Linda expressed concern: “Perhaps it’s inconsistent of me to earn a living, but still, what if someone became overly fixated on you or discovered your location? If someone is communicating with them privately, I believe that could potentially be dangerous.
She asserted that she has no personal regrets about her past profession, considering it ‘wonderful’ as she was ‘youthful and living life to the fullest’. However, she acknowledged that it was a significantly different era, and if given the chance, she wouldn’t make the same career choice again.
She noted: ‘I also did a considerable amount of work while wearing clothing, however, people primarily recognize me due to the scandals that made headlines. If I could talk to my 20-year-old self, I’d advise: “Keep your clothes on and pursue acting instead”.’

Previously, Linda reminded herself of an embarrassing incident from her past, when her daughter Lucy Kane discovered her mother’s unique previous profession at the age of seven.
In 2017, she appeared on Loose Women with Lucy. She remarked, “I was a ‘Page 3 Girl’ a decade prior to Lucy’s birth. It feels as though I’m discussing a completely different individual when I reflect on those periods of my life.
She remembered: “While cleaning out the attic, we found my collection of clippings. I thought to myself, ‘What should I do with these?’ Lucy was around seven years old at that time.
I mentioned, ‘You know, this is something Mummy used to do, Lucy – I used to draw from newspapers.’ To which she replied, ‘What a beautiful photograph, dear. Too bad you didn’t remember to wear your bra.’
Lucy, who is a professional singer with experience on The Voice, firmly declines any plans of modeling in the glamour industry, choosing not to follow her mother’s career path in that field.
The songwriter admitted she would get ‘a lot of MILF comments’ having Linda as her mum.
While she maintained to The Sun: ‘I’ve never gone topless. I just don’t think it’s for me.’
In a recent open conversation, Linda expressed regret over her past photoshoots, describing them as something she now finds embarrassing. She also criticized the treatment of women during that time, considering it inappropriate or shameful.

On this week’s edition of Kaye Adam’s How to be 60 podcast, she openly shared about her past as a glamour model, admitting: “I find myself squirming over it these days.
As time passes and societal norms shift, I occasionally feel a slight sense of awkwardness regarding that topic.
Back then, there was nothing to feel embarrassed about, but reflecting on it now, from the perspective of modern times, it seems as if everything from that era carries a sense of shame. The manner in which men interacted with women was disgraceful.
She confessed: ‘A large portion of my jobs involved working on calendars while located at beaches. It was a fantastic and carefree environment, and because everyone was engaged in similar work, there was a sense of camaraderie that made me feel valued, even though the general public may not have viewed us as inferior during those times.’
Reflecting on the past, it’s become clear to me now that the portrayal was misguided and it’s crucial not to depict women in such a manner. The language used towards women back then was also inappropriate and requires change.
Linda said that looking back her Page Three days through a modern society lens feels ‘jarring’ now.
She conveyed: “Nowadays, it seems as though I’ve embarked on an entirely new phase of life – one that I left behind nearly 40 years ago. These days, the mention of ‘page three’ strikes me oddly, as it’s so outdated and politically incorrect in today’s context.
Although it seems entirely out of place in contemporary society, I must admit I took great pride in it back then. It was so commonplace that it made headlines and was featured regularly in the papers.

Linda additionally shared that she now identifies with the stance taken by ex-MP Clare Short back in 1986, when she suggested a bill in the House of Commons prohibiting newspapers from printing pictures of topless models.
When she was criticized during the campaign, Linda responded by saying: “Looking back, I truly understand and empathize with Clare Short; she was indeed a visionary before her time.
While working as a filing clerk at a tax office, Linda received an unexpected job offer as a model on her way home from work.
However, she acknowledged that though her father took pride in her new profession, it brought about a sense of awkwardness for her mother.
As someone who values professionalism, I can relate to my mother’s feelings when individuals would walk into her office and casually mention, “Your daughter is in the newspaper today.” This seemingly innocuous comment, however, would often cause a slight awkwardness, as she would share with me, expressing a sense of embarrassment.
However, my father found it wonderful. He’d comment on it to others, unaware of who I was, saying something like, “She’s a tabloid model,” which seems quite odd nowadays for someone to take pride in such a label. But back then, times were vastly different.
2019 saw her sharing with the Daily Mail her surprise at the significant income she earned due to her topless photo shoots.
It was astonishing that they would compensate me with a full week’s salary from my old job at the tax office, all for an hour-long photo session.
In that environment filled with Page 3 models, it felt like belonging to an exclusive circle. It was extraordinary! The experiences and friendships I made were unforgettable, filled with travel, socializing, and excitement. I could even afford a car, something my school friends in ordinary jobs couldn’t manage.
She added: ‘Those were different times — and that was a different person.’
