Brittany Hockley’s Career Bombshell: Fitter Than Fiancé Post-DWTS?

Brittany Hockley is currently at her physical peak, a result of the rigorous training regimen she follows for Dancing With The Stars.

36-year-old host of the Life Uncut podcast shared with Daily Mail Australia that she took only three breaks in the past eight weeks during the filming of the reality TV show, with each celebrity participant dedicating an 8-hour workday to dancing every day.

The dance that makes her the most nervous is the one scheduled for her tropical wedding with Swiss footballer Benjamin Siegrist, which is soon to take place in Bali.

I can’t help but admit that our rehearsal for the wedding dance left me a bit worried,” I confessed. “You see, before joining Dancing with the Stars, I was as clueless about dancing as Ben is about ballet – despite being a goalkeeper!

I plan on showing him a few dance moves that my partner Craig has taught me and just cross my fingers for good results. To be honest, I’m quite anxious about it.

On Friday, Brittany proudly showcased the fruits of her labor by wearing a shimmering gold mini dress to the Marie Claire’s International Women’s Day luncheon held at Alpha restaurant on Castlereagh street.

2025’s lineup for Dancing With The Stars Australia looks set to be one of the most remarkable seasons we’ve ever had.

This season, actress Rebecca Gibney, comedian and TV veteran Shaun Micallef, Olympic boxer Harry Garside, athlete Susie O’Neill, and Mia Fevola are all competing for the sought-after Mirrorball Trophy, alongside Brittany.

As a devoted fan of reality TV, I, Brittany, am thrilled to announce that this heartwarming dance competition marks my fifth and last journey on the small screen. After gracing the stages of The Bachelor Australia and Bachelor in Paradise, it’s time for me to embark on new adventures beyond the realm of reality television.

This well-known podcast host and radio personality is not only skilled in their current roles, but they’ve also ventured into reality TV, appearing on The Challenge: Australia and I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! as additional credits to their resume.

‘I did the jungle last year and I would say that dancing is way harder,’ she said.

‘It’s the most intense thing I’ve ever done.

‘It is 100 per cent the hardest show I’ve ever done and I think this is me done with reality now.

‘Unless I’m hosting it, I don’t think I’ll be on another reality show.’

‘I love fitness and I’ve always been really fit,’ she added.

Initially, I assumed that would offer an advantage during the performance, and indeed it did. However, my physical condition was far from optimal.

‘My fiancé’s a professional athlete and he doesn’t even do eight hours of training a day.’

Ben and Brittany keep tabs on their workout routines and stay connected by utilizing fitness application comparisons, sharing updates with one another.

Lately, her level of activity and stress have been more intense compared to her professional athlete partner.

‘I have muscles I didn’t even know I had!’ Brittany said, gesturing to her muscled legs.

‘I’m so sore. I feel like I’ve been hit by a bus every single day.’

On International Women’s Day, Brittany enthusiastically praised the tight-knit circle of female friends she found within her Dancing with the Stars cohort.

‘I caught up with Felicity Ward and Rebecca Gibney last night for dinner,’ she shared.

‘We get on like a house on fire. Everyone is so supportive.

I’ve never encountered a more encouraging band of women, and it’s precisely the kind of support you need when shooting reality television.

She said participating in the series has given her a whole new perspective on the performing arts.

Brittany expressed that she had admired dancers for their incredible skills, yet she never viewed them as athletes.

‘But they are absolutely athletes.’

Brittany and her fiancé Ben are due to tie the knot in Bali in 2025.

In a unique arrangement, a pair of lovers, fresh from marking their second year together, primarily communicate via WhatsApp since their home bases are far apart. While the 32-year-old soccer player is based overseas, Brittany remains rooted in her birthplace, Australia.

They have not seen each other in-person for several months due to living on different continents.

In November 2022, they crossed paths on the exclusive dating platform, Raya. Notably, his soccer team, Celtic Football Club based in Glasgow, was competing against Sydney FC in Australia at that moment.

Benjamin frequently divides his time between Australia and Scotland, the place he resides now, but he intends to move to Australia following their wedding, as per his plans.
