This week, Netflix‘s high-octane action-thriller titled “Counterattack” has outperformed “Venom 3” to become the most-viewed film on their streaming service.
At the tail end of February, a Mexican movie became available on Netflix. This film chronicles the journey of Captain Guerrero, portrayed by Luis Alberti, and his band of top-tier soldiers. They encounter an attack from a criminal gang following their successful rescue mission to free two hostages.
This week, “Venom: The Last Dance” has been the most popular English-language film on Netflix, boasting 12.8 million views. However, globally, it’s “Counterattack k” that takes the cake, racking up a stunning 18.6 million views.
In the new title, “Counterattack”, a Mexican Army officer rescues two hostages. This heroic act leads him and his specialized team to discover a grave filled with victims of a drug cartel. Unfortunately, this discovery places them squarely in the crosshairs of the cartel’s leader who will go to extreme lengths to eliminate them and ensure their silence.
In a cinema near you in October, and available on Netflix in certain regions starting February 25, is the action-packed movie titled “Venom: The Last Dance“. This film chronicles the thrilling escapades of investigative journalist Eddie Brock (portrayed by Tom Hardy) and his symbiote, as they flee from pursuers originating from both human and extraterrestrial realms, who are hot on their trail.
Before its theater debut, Hardy hinted that although Venom 3 marks the end of the Venom film series, it may not be the last time he portrays the character.
He expressed his affection for Eddie and Venom, stating that he cherished every moment with them and held a deep fondness for them. He would happily engage with these characters whenever given the opportunity, as there’s a unique space within him that yearns to bring these two characters to life in any role or setting.
I have an unending feeling of obligation, responsibility, and care towards those two individuals. Regardless of the circumstances, my presence with them remains constant.
Upcoming project for Hardy: He will appear in Guy Ritchie’s upcoming Paramount+ series titled “MobLand,” featuring Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren as co-stars.
The series chronicles an influential London-based family who specialize in problem-solving, primarily focusing on the intricate workings of their business and the tangled dynamics among its members.
