Mum of Comedian Merrick Watts Dies Aged 51

Merrick Watts announced his mother Alison has died in an emotional Instagram post on Sunday.

A comedian who is 51 years old recently posted a picture with his mother, informing everyone that she had sadly passed away following a brief illness.

He also posted a sweet photo of his two young children embracing their grandmother.

‘He wrote with deep sorrow that he was saying goodbye to his mother Alison. She was a powerful force, strong, courageous, resilient but also overflowing with love and kindness.’

‘Mum passed away after a short illness with her boys proudly by her side every minute to the end.

‘If you met her, you’d probably remember her. She left an impression,’ he continued.

The teacher I had was not just someone who imparted academic knowledge, but also shared priceless life lessons that you can’t find in schoolbooks. She encouraged both me and my brother, always supporting our dreams, enabling us to pursue our chosen paths freely.

‘A loyal companion, a formidable adversary. An amazing parent, a cherished matriarch. Your absence will always be felt among us, yet you will forever remain with us. Gratitude and love to you.’

In response to Merrick’s post, numerous messages of sympathy poured in from his friends, expressed through their comments.
