Gregg Wallace REPLACEMENT SHOCKED!

It has been reported that Matt Tebbutt, currently hosting Saturday Kitchen, is in preliminary discussions with the BBC about taking over from Gregg Wallace as the host of MasterChef.

The 51-year-old chef will be taking on a new role, working alongside the remaining judge John Torode (age 59), after the investigation into sexual misconduct allegations against Gregg led to his departure last year.

Beginning in January, food critic Grace Dent joined MasterChef with Torode for filming. According to The Sun, it’s uncertain whether she will continue in her role on the show.

According to a source, it was reported that ‘Matt stepped up to present Saturday Kitchen, following its previous host, a well-known figure in the culinary world, James Martin.’

‘He accomplished the remarkable task of personalizing the role, leaving viewers scarcely recalling his predecessor – the new leaders at BBC and producers at Banijay are anticipating that he can replicate this enchantment on MasterChef.’

Prior to making any decisions, it’s important to note that the outcomes of the investigations regarding Gregg’s behavior are still pending. However, given the immense popularity and scope of MasterChef, the BBC is eager to ensure all details are in order before moving forward.

TopMob have contacted the BBC and Matt Tebbutt’s reps for comment.

Since the year 2016, Tebbutt has been hosting BBC’s Saturday Kitchen. Additionally, he has served as a judge on Great British Menu and Drop Down Menu on Channel 4.

After news broke about the show being put on hold due to claims of sexist remarks and inappropriate behavior towards contestants, Wallace has asserted his innocence regarding these accusations.

In November, when the scandal surfaced, the amateur MasterChef series was almost wrapped up. However, Chef Anna Haugh joined forces with Torode during the final days of filming to see it through.

The revised version of that program is prepared for airing on BBC One. Typically, it’s aired from February to April, though its specific broadcast date hasn’t been set yet.

According to reports, the BBC seems to be in a position where they can only take a wait-and-see approach until the investigation led by lawyers at Lewis Silkin concludes, regarding the events that transpired.

They did not want to scrap the show, as it would have punished those who took part.

Wallace’s input couldn’t be removed from the program since he samples the dishes with Torode, and interacts with the contestants too.

Investigators are currently speaking with everyone, including past participants, staff members, and Wallace himself. So far, it appears that Wallace hasn’t shared his version of events yet.

After gathering their conclusions, they will share them with both Banijay and the BBC. It is anticipated that these results will become publicly available, following which the Corporation will determine whether or not they can be aired.

A planned celebrity Christmas MasterChef was scrapped.

The man with three children was reported to be taking a break from his BBC program, as an examination into his behavior was ongoing.

In the course of events, it was disclosed that a total of 13 people, including Newsnight anchor Kirsty Wark, had allegedly brought to light instances of inappropriate and sexually charged conduct on my part during filming spanning across different shows over a span of 17 years.

Three days following the announcement, the speaker found himself in deeper difficulties after labeling his accusers as “women from the middle class, a particular age group,” and asserting that “not a single member” of his team on other programs had ever raised concerns about him.

Later on, Wallace issued an embarrassed apology, explaining: ‘I was not mentally well when I shared it. I’ve been dealing with a tremendous amount of stress and a great deal of emotional turmoil.’

In contrast, lawyers asserted that the claim he behaves inappropriately in a sexual manner is completely unfounded.

According to reports, the investigation into Wallace’s conduct on MasterChef should have wrapped up by the end of February; however, it appears that he has not been questioned by the external team responsible for it, which was appointed by production company Banijay.

A representative from Banijay stated that the investigation continues, and as of now, there isn’t a specific date set for its conclusion.

According to sources, during his time with family, he’s also been diligently working on his venture, Gregg Wallace Health.

‘That’s his main other thing outside of the TV presenting,’ says one source.

According to reports from a TV source, he finds himself in a holding pattern, as he must wait for the investigation to wrap up before taking action. As such, he’s currently in a state of uncertainty, neither fully active nor completely idle – he’s essentially on pause and treading water, waiting for resolution.

He’s accustomed to being occupied since MasterChef is essentially a round-the-year, full-time commitment. Consequently, he’s grown accustomed to it. However, he must patiently wait for the ongoing investigation to conclude before resuming his usual activities.

‘I think he has come to the realisation over time that it is serious stuff.’
