Sabrina Carpenter’s BRITs Performance Sparks Outrage

On Saturday evening, Sabrina Carpenter’s provocative performance at the BRIT Awards sparked outrage among viewers as she kicked off the glitzy event at the O2 Arena in London.

Additionally, TopMob was fortunate enough to secure premium seating to witness an extraordinary show put on by the American singer. The highlight of the performance came when she knelt before a sentinel reminiscent of a ‘King’s Guard’.

During the final act of the performance, its explicit nature necessitated edits for the ITV broadcast. Rather than showing Sabrina in a provocative pose, the camera zeroed in on the soldier winking, a move that left spectators within the arena taken aback.

As an over-the-top enthusiast, I couldn’t help but notice that even Sabrina herself seemed in a hurry during her thought-provoking performance. TopMob managed to capture the instant when she darted off stage for a lightning-fast wardrobe switch mid-show!

Sabrina hurried backstage to remove her red, sequined military-inspired gown that paid tribute to Great Britain.

She powerfully performed her hit song, Espresso, in a captivating act adorned with alluring stockings and high heels. After each performance, she quickly changed backstage into provocative lingerie.

In an energetic build-up to her act, Sabrina shed her jacket dress, aided by a team member who assisted in unzipping and removing it. She then swiftly changed into her following costume, ultimately launching into the song “Bed Chem”.

Previously, the Disney actress ascended to prominence while performing a popular song, kneeling amidst dancers dressed in lingerie on stage.

The show was met with great enthusiasm within the stadium, as TopMob noticed the famous attendees, such as Jade Thirlwall and Maya Jama, rising from their seats and grooving to the eagerly awaited act.

After ITV broadcasted the show during the family viewing hours, I found myself inundated with strong reactions from home viewers. Many expressed their intention to promptly reach out to ITV and Ofcom to voice their disapproval.

The awe-inspiring show seemed to almost violate the Broadcasting Code’s 9 pm content restrictions, leaving certain viewers astounded. One parent expressed anger, stating they were “boiling mad.

Material deemed inappropriate should only be displayed after 9 p.m., as per Ofcom, and this category encompasses a wide range of content, such as sexual scenes, violent images, graphic or disturbing visuals, and explicit language.

One mom shared that her 11-year-old girl is deeply fascinated by Carpenter, and during our viewing of this show, I made it clear to her why I won’t be accompanying her to the concert.

One viewer commented on X that it might not be the best choice to start something before 9 PM as it is still considered family time and could be seen as inappropriate.

A person expressed their anger: “Being a father of two daughters aged 11 and 13, I’m extremely upset by the opening scenes of the BRIT Awards 2025.

Meanwhile, others warned that not everyone may be a fan of the pre-watershed performance.

About this pre-9 pm show, Sabrina, I must say, you’re fantastic! However, some parents might voice their concerns. Nonetheless, let’s enjoy the BRITs, shall we? #BRITs

topmob inquired if Ofcom had received any complaints about their performance, but Ofcom declined to confirm or deny this information. Instead, they indicated that if there were over 50 complaints, these would be included in their upcoming report scheduled for release on Wednesday.

ITV has also been contacted for comment.

Previously, the carpenter clarified her bold stage identity to The Sun, stating: “My intent has consistently been straightforward – if you’re uncomfortable with a woman who embraces her sexual confidence, then perhaps my performances aren’t for you.

Meanwhile, during the nighttime, Sabrina received the Global Success award, which was handed to her by actress Millie Bobby Brown.

Changing into another stunning outfit, Sabrina dazzled in a delicate pink, partially see-through dress, complemented by impressive platform heels.

In my own words, during that speech, I found myself utterly humbled and grateful for the privilege of receiving such a prestigious award. I couldn’t help but express my heartfelt thanks to my amazing fans, my supportive family, and the record label that has been instrumental in my journey.

She shared: “Hi! Ten years ago, I first visited the UK with my mom, and hardly anyone recognized me. Perhaps only ten people did. Yet, all I could imagine back then was what it would be like if someone in the UK appreciated my music. And now, it’s this week, thanks to you all, that I get to headline the O2 Arena!

This award I received at the BRITs feels incredibly humbling, almost unbelievable. Given Britain’s reputation as a predominantly tea-drinking nation, it seems fitting that my success has been broadcast like strong, swift shots of espresso all over the world – short, sweet, and to the point.

Your humor matches mine in its dryness, which I appreciate a lot. I care for you all much more than you might realize. See you later.
