Grey’s Anatomy’s Ellen Pompeo reveals iconic scene that left her daughter in tears
Ellen Pompeo has revealed which famous Grey’s Anatomy scene made her eldest daughter cry.
Actor of Meredith Grey character in a series has three children: Stella Luna (15 years old), Sienna May (10 years old), and Eli Christopher (8 years old). The eldest one, Stella, is now at an age where she’s beginning to explore the show that made her mom well-known.
In a chat with People, Pompeo acknowledged her attempts to postpone it, but now understands that it’s unavoidable.
She mentioned that once everyone in the classroom starts watching something, there comes a point where you can’t keep them from seeing it any longer since every student but yours has already watched it.
“And then it gets awkward so you’re like, ‘Okay.'”
A particularly impactful moment for her daughter was during the season 5 finale, titled ‘Now or Never.’ This is the episode in which the character George O’Malley, played by T R Knight, gets struck by a bus while rescuing a bystander.
In the hospital, I find myself admitted under the enigmatic moniker of John Doe, my true identity hidden by the devastating extent of my wounds. In a private moment with Meredith, I somehow discerned a familiar mark on her hand – the telltale sign of my alias, 007, that revealed to her who I truly was.
In reference to viral videos where individuals share their emotional reactions to different scenes from Grey’s Anatomy, Pompeo stated: “My daughter reacted similarly when she watched James Bond. She actually started crying.
“I had to film it and I couldn’t hold it together.”
She seems less enthusiastic about her middle child watching the show at her age, and she expressed her feelings as follows: “While her peers are tuning into [the show], I still believe there is an excessive amount of content unsuitable for a 10-year-old.
I understand everyone has their own parenting style, but I prefer not to discuss certain matters. Some questions can be quite unusual since I was present at the event. To be honest, I’d rather not delve into the specifics of that situation at this time.
As a devoted fan, I’m excited to share that Grey’s Anatomy season 21 will be airing every Thursday at 10pm ET, right here on ABC in the United States. For my friends across the pond in the UK, mark your calendars! Season 21 will start streaming on Disney+ on March 14th. Can’t wait to dive back into Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital!
