Seth Green speaks out on Buffy the Vampire Slayer revival: Will Oz return?
Actor Seth Green, famous for his role in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” has shared his thoughts on the anticipated return of the series and the potential for him to make a cameo.
Earlier this month, it was announced that the cherished show, initially broadcast between 1997 and 2003, will indeed make a comeback, with Sarah Michelle Gellar reprising her famous role as Buffy Summers.
The actor formerly known for portraying the werewolf musician Daniel ‘Oz’ Osbourne (Green), originally cast in the show, has now voiced his thoughts about the recent news and the possibility of him reprising the role.
He expressed during an interview with ComicBook that he really enjoys the character, and if there were additional stories to be told, he’d eagerly join in.
Additionally, the actor mentioned that Gellar’s role in the revival is not as the main character but as a regular, recurring one instead.
It’s beneficial that Sarah is deeply involved in the revival project because she’s extremely vigilant, ensuring not only the excellence of the work but also the feelings of those involved,” he pointed out.
In a recent statement, James Marsters, famously known for portraying the British punk vampire Spike in the original series, has voiced his thoughts on the revival. However, he didn’t explicitly confirm if we might see him again in the show and emphasized that he couldn’t reveal much due to the need for the project to be as successful as possible.
As a passionate fan, I can’t contain my enthusiasm! Just like everyone else, I’m thrilled about delving deeper into Buffy Summers’ journey and how she saves the world. Frankly, I believe our world needs this inspiration now more than ever. To contribute my bit, I plan to actively follow this exciting adventure.
Excitedly echoing the news of its comeback, I couldn’t help but share my heartfelt thoughts – this return is truly for all us fans!
She expressed that the journey so far has been lengthy, but it’s still unfolding. Rest assured, we will produce this show only when we are confident we can deliver a top-notch performance. Let me assure you, we are moving in the right direction towards that goal.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer can be streamed in full on Disney+.
